or are young girls (college aged and younger) a bit... um... sluttier these days?!

 

first my younger cousin (who's about 21) is posing nude on some soft porn site (&)$#)@*)(!!!), a few of her friends are on a Girls Gone Wild Video.... I was looking through my younger brother's myspace page and practically all of his friends (real life friends, i've met many of them) are half dressed with their boobs hanging out all over the place in their pictures, and I swear to god, this little lolita clerk at Target today was totally hitting on Brian.

a couple of summers ago my friend and i went to this amusement park, and i felt like a pedophile because everywhere i looked underage girls were running around in skimpy bikinis.

 

it's insane. is it me?!! i NEVER thought i was a prude, but sheesh! it seems like nowadays young girls aspire to be naked on the internet, or have the sexiest myspace pictures...

 

i mean, sure, the human body is beautiful, but girls these days are just like giving it away to whoever wants to see it. it makes me sad and sick all at the same time. i feel old.

 

Aiden better not be bringing home any little tramps when he starts dating!

HA! Sorry but you a so funny. I do agree with you that it seems like they are a little more "ho-ish" than when I was that age. I wonder if it has to do with easier access and being able to get your pictures up and posted. It wasn't until I was in HS that the WWW was big and digital cameras were not around.

I have to agree, but a big part of it is sites like myspace, they allow these teenagers/immature adults basically create their own porno site. It all goes back to these sites where people rate eachothers "hotness". wtf is that all about?!

I totally agree! Kids in general are over sexed these days. I blame Brittney Spears and rap videos.

 

My mother would have killed me if I walked out of the house looking like some of these girls! I got grounded for a week one time, I think I was in 7th grade, and I put make-up and hoop earrings on after my mom dropped us off somewhere. I don't remember how I got caught.

 

Also, the boys didn't look the way they do now when I was in HS! No one had 6 pack abs! I've only been out of school for 10 years but it sure has made a difference!

 

I want all girls but I am going to be the crazy strict mom!

i was at sephora the other day and a girl came in who looked like she was about 12ish. She had on some sort of shirt dress that barely covered her butt and nothing else. What is wrong with parents? My mom would have kicked my butt! I was not even allowed to own coed naked clothing!

Amanda, I hate to say it, but I think that is a HUGE part of the problem. I would have gotten my behind whooped big time, and my mom wasn't even super strict. I think the fault lies with all the mom's who think it's their job to be best friends with their daughter and her little buddies.

 

It's great to have a close relationship with your kids, but there is a point when even if you still have a hot bod (more power to ya) but you need to respect yourself and dress a little more age appropro. KWIM? You can still look good but give your kids a decent looking role model too.

I totally thought the same thing when I was looking for BM dress. Prom season is in full effect and I can NOT believe what these girls are wearing. I blame the parents because they are the ones buying the cloths for them.

jess, its not just you. i totally agree. my best friend's mom adopted a child with her new husband when my best friend was about 14. her adoptive sister is now about 13 years old, and my friend is always calling me to say "omg you arent going to believe what my little sister's myspace page photo is" -- they take photos of themselves all trying to be sexy. her mom is one of those moms who is more into being the kids' friends than a responsible parent unfortunately. she's had numerous chats with her mom about banning her little sister from myspace, but the mom wont. and she has the most inappropriate stuff up there for a girl her age, its just calling for a pedophile to look at!

 

i also have a 12 yr old nephew, and ive called my brother several times in the last year over things on his myspace page that i felt were grossly inappropriate for a child his age to be displaying. part of the problem is that my brother is divorced and the kid's mother doesnt think it's a big deal so she doesnt enforce rules about it.

I absolutely agree. I am only 24, and I don't remember ever dressing so trashy. I remember a couple years ago my half sister came to visit...she had to have been about 10 or 11 at the time. She had this halter top on that cut off at her boobs. I could not believe that my step mom let her dress like that. HOLY CRAP! My kids will NEVER!!!!
