I have never been to those resorts but I went to the Iberostar in DR and I to fly home early because we got extremely ill our 2nd day there. I have been to the Bahamas and Jamaica and I will definitely never go back to DR. The resort we stayed at was not used to Americans and very few spoke English. If you know Spanish you will be ok. My favorite place is Jamaica out of the 3 and that is why I will be going back there for my wedding Feb 2009. I haven't finalized the resort but I know it will be Jamaica. From what my TA told me, it is the easiest and least expensive place to get married. The other thing I love is that there are places to see outside of the resort. When I went to DR, there was no way I was leaving the resort. Just take the time and go with your heart.

Welcome to the forum! You will find some good stuff here. To find my resort since my TA was not too helpful here I used Stray Weddings to find the wedding photos I liked and then used Trip Advisor for the reviews. Good Luck!

This part I found was the hardest and most stressful for me. A piece of advice..make the decision with your FH only cause lots of people have opinions and will make it difficult for you.
