Question: Signing marriage certificate on beach...

We are doing a "symbolic" ceremony and not many people know that we are already married when we get there. I dont see how anyone would know. Its not like there are going to be questioning the signing of it. And if they do tell them its done at a different time.

We have already been married too- just a few months ago to save money. We are having a "symbolic ceremony" which comes with a symbolic certificate. I think that's pretty common. Just have a symbolic ceremony.

Nobody asked at all for our wedding. Only a few people knew about our US wedding. Our officiant did give us a "certificate" but it was more for show and we had our witnesses sign it when we got back from Mexico.

blondebeach I am in the same situation that you are in and I've been trying to figure out what we would say as well if people asked, but I like the idea of having a fake keepsake marriage certificate I hope that the person doing the ceremony wouldn't have a problem with that. Anyone have a sample of what the symbolic wording is like at riu ocho rios.
