OK ladies, what do you think about if I extend the fireplace up to the ceiling.. Something like this photo..

I like that! That way it doesnt take away from the whole idea that it is supposed to be the focul point of the room, but yet it makes it a bit bigger and less a little fireplace in the middle of nowhere.

Hmmm don't think Cain has the "handy man" skills to do this.. Hmm which would mean I would either have to hire someone or ask my BIL, and I don't think my sister would let him (she's a control freak and gives him things to do around her house)

Well, I still think it is by far the best idea! So you are just going to have to save money after the wedding and have it done. Um your sister cant let BIL even come over for a few hours worth of work? Is she younger, just boss her around thats what I do with my sisters, I ask politely and than if they disagree I demand politely.

No my sister is older, by 4 years. And I wouldn't be surprised if her DH had to ask her before he went pee.. lol

YUCK who the hell wants a marriage like that. No offense to your sister. It only makes people miserable, although I suppose I have meet a couple men that like that kind of controlling girlfriend wife thing. Weird.

MY BIL's mother is worse then my sister so I'm sure he doens't see a problem with it.

 

I sent Cain that picture and he doesn't like it because he thinks we'll loose light in the room. OMG I'm going to kill him..

I really think you need to stop asking his opinion on things. I just do things before Ryan comes home, that way its done and he has no say.

 

OK this project might be a little hard to do while Cain is at work. lol.
