New Homeowner!!!

Sam and I closed on our house today!! Its been a long day, but we are really happy We spent the last few hours ripping pee-stained carpet out, but we're really excited about finally starting our lives together in a new home!!!

ugh, ripping out carpet is a major pain in the ass. our house is COVERED in carpet. hardwood floors lie beneath. i've only ripped up one room so far. i'm starting to regret not ripping it all up first because now i'm gonna have to move furniture and stuff to take the carpet out of the rest of the house.

Yes, we're in Cherry Hill. I'm glad we made the decision to rip the carpet up now, and not once our 2 cats and dog and furniture were in. It was fairly easy to get the carpet up... its about 20-30 years old! But, the padding is completely disintegrated from the age and the dog pee. Its disgusting! Luckily, the floors seem to be somehow have been spared the stains, and they're in really good condition! We were so happy to see that! Its going to be a lot of work, but so worth it! Hopefully, we'll have the floors refinished, pack and be moved by the end of the month! (I won't be on here much for a little bit, but when we're done... I hear a BDW bbq in the future!)

Jenn, thats great news. Getting your first house is always a great feeling. We have redone pretty much every room and the outside has so much work done. House doesnt even look the same, neighbors are so glad we have fixed it up. Take plenty of before and after shots. Its very rewarding watching the transformation of the house become your own. Carpet pee stains = no fun
