I'm so upset :(

I had to drop my birdy girls off at the birdsitter today...we've never used this lady before, but she was recommended to us by someone else (who's arse I'm going to kick the next time I see them).

 

We walked into this chick's house and it was absolutely filty...and it stunk! I was so upset but it was too late for us to find someone else (it's really hard to find someone to watch birds!! and my selfish ass sister won't do it for us while we're gone).

 

I almost walked out of there in tears, it was so hard to leave them there! She really seems to love her own birds and take care of him, but her house was just disgusting...I'm going to spend my whole week away worrying about them

 

Like seriously, if you're going to run a business from your home where you're in the care of something that's really important to people, make sure your place is freakin' presentable!! Gross

OMG I wish I knew you needed a bird sitter!! My mom lives in Cambridge and she had birds for years! She has 2 cats, but that never seemed to bother the birds! I could have asked her

Awww, Melissa, that sucks. I would hate to leave my pets in a dirty place also. At least she loved her birds, so you can feel safe in that she will treat them right.

Oh Melissa, that sucks I know it's hard but try not to worry, like Carly said she loves her own birds so she will be good to your birdie girls too. Maybe you can call her to check on them here and there?

It never ceases to amaze me how people live and the way they keep their homes. People with pets can be absolutely disgusting! But as gross as her house is, she probably takes good care of her animals- and she's providing them with a comfortable animal-like environment! lol

 

I'm sorry Melissa...hopefully the state of her home doesn't represent the way she cares for her animals (or maybe it does- she plays with the animals so much she doesn't have time to clean?). Not sure that helps, just trying to look on the bright side!

Aw I am so sorry ( Is there anyway you can call your sis and tell her how upset you are and how dirty this lady's house was? That is such a sin, I feel your pain. I would watch them if I was closer.

 

However If this lady takes good care of her birds, you shouldnt worry yourself. I know it's easier said (cuz god knows Id feel the same) but try to remember that she takes care of her pets so yours are "guests" and she will do all she can to make them feel the most comfortable. I am sure everything will be ok.

So sorry Melissa, that is not cool at all. I am sure they will be fine but it would help clients peace of mind to have a clean home. Good news is she seesm to love her birds so that is huge! Poor winged kids!

Ugh Melissa, that is so hard to drop any animal off at someone elses place. I hope the condition of the home is no reflection on the care she gives to animals.
