wedding planner gifts

anyone giving the wedding planners a gift? any ideas??

I am wondering about the same thing. I am not sure if I should tip or give a gift. I look forward to seeing what suggestions everyone comes up with.

I asked a friend of my parents who is a local wedding coordinator this question. She said that she would prefer money over a gift. She said that it's fairly standard to tip 15%.

I'm glad you asked this, as I have been wondering the same thing! I am definitely planning on doing something for my WC. She has been amazingly helpful and patient!!! I just don't know what to do.

15% of her fee you mean?

what about people using the hotel's WC, what are you doing? (assuming you actually like them and they are helpful. so far the westin has not even given me a WC and the people who i have to deal with in the meantime are incompetent half the time.)

We gave our hotel's WC a nice card with $100 I think.

I will give you my PC response to this question - 'A tip is never expected but always appreciated'... who doesn't like a tip, right? However, some of the nicest gifts I have received have been items that I know the couple chose specifically for me!

 

Whatever you choose to do, a gift or a tip, I am positive your WC will be pleaseantly surprised.

My friend got married last year at moon palace- she said most people gave a money gift. they didn't give anything because she messed up everything- so, they gave nothing. So, far my w.planner is excellent- so im thinking a small gift is nice.

the dom. republic sales tax is crazy- so i don't think ill be giving 15% or higher- if we do cash

I think Maye would apreciate cash. I'll probably give her a nice card and 15% of her fee in cash! She's been excellent! (hopefully I'll feel the same after the wedding
