My wedding on April 21st at THE Royal has been cancelled, we have a couple of rooms available if anyone is scrambling for rooms there over that weekend...please let me know and I will see what I can do to put you in touch with my TA so that you can have them if you need them. :-)

Hello I would like to know what beach location is the best for our wedding ceremony...Either North Beach (Gran Porto) or Pelicanos beach (Royal)? Does anyone have pictures from either beach area? I would prefer the most private beach they have with the Real properties in Playa Del Carmen. My WC just told me Pelicano's is the most private out of their beaches and there's a fee to have our ceremony at Pelicanos beach area if we stay at Gran Porto...Just wondering is the $450 fee worth going that route at Pelicano's? Thanks! I have since received a handful of emails from Maritza to sign my authorization form, tell me deadlines for payments, etc.  She has just sent me my contract to sign as well today and said she would then send me the all the catalogs as soon as I send it back signed!

 

I can't believe some of your weddings are so soon! you all must be sooo excited! I feel like ours is so far away!

"Also.....remember the reservation of locations for either the Cocktail or the Reception are subject to availability."

 

I did ask her about it so waiting for her reply but is there a chance I might not get the venue choices she has actually confirmed as available?

 

I'm confused do you remember this being mentioned at all?

Once I paid my deposit and told her where I wanted things, all of my paperwork contained those locations that I chose. At one point, I thought I wanted a different place for the reception, and asked about it, but there was already another event scheduled for that location. So, decide where you want to do things earlier and secure them.

She's telling you that because nothing is confirmed until you actually send back your signed contract. Essentially, if another bride today sends back their contract first for the location you want, she would get it. It's not booked until you set it in stone. It's a CYA measure

 

I have been working with Maritza, and she's awesome! All of the information is pretty comprehensive, so you probably won't hear much from her unless you have questions. She is very responsive!

Great! Thanks ladies:) So far Maritza has been great! She responds usually within a day or so and I have been able to reach her by phone a couple times.  They seem to be very organized!  I guess your telling me I better get my contract signed ASAP!
