Ladies how did you transport your dress down and how did you steam it/remove creases when you got to the resort?

Depending on your package, the hotel offers preparation of suits and dresses for you.

If your package doesn't include this, you can certainly request it! I'm not sure of the fee though...

I'm asking my Air Canada rep if we can hang our suit and dress in the First Class Closet...but honestly...as long as its with me on the plane...I'll just make sure I take advantage of the steaming included in our package at the hotel!

For those of you who are getting married in the next few months have you gotten a head count yet? Also what package are you guys getting? I feel like the packages don't save you much and I think we are getting one of the basic packages but what are you guys doing?

 

Also I never hear back about the TTD session if you guys are doing it and if so where you plan to do the shoot?

 

As for carrying my dress I am not too worried about it either because I am planning on having it steamed down there anyway...I don't plan on packing the dress because of the obvious chance of it getting lost but I feel like it will be fine wherever it ends up on the plane.

 

I wish I had Shay's cheat sheet in front of me everytime I write on here because I want to see everyones dates in front of me. Veronica its getting close!!!

 

I am picking up my invites today, I want to see everyone's. I am so excited to see them in person. I ended up going with Prim and Pixie. Not sure how to attach them but they are really cute!

We have selected the Luxury Package and I think...we're using EVERYTHING the package offers. Overall...I feel it is saving us a bundle...when we itemized everything...it was WAY more expensive for all the little add-ons (ie. flowers, cocktail hour, decorated reception area, dance floor, etc).

Wow Shay I love the invites, they are soo cute! They turned out perfect! I thought about doing mine myself but just decided it was going to be too much work to save about $120. I'm impressed that you did them yourself! I am trying to upload mine but the picture of the invite isn't uploading properly not sure why but I think I managed to upload the rsvp card and welcome insert.

I don't think you can upload just jpgs, so...that might be the problem?

If you ever needed, you could email me them, and I could photobucket those bad boys for ya!

My FI and I enjoyed doing the invitations SO much, we actually would like to do other people's...maybe even start a small business.

Shay thanks for the info. We are just doing the reception at the Royal and no wedding package so I guess we have to pay. That's cool as long as the service is available. But totally agree with you about bringing it on board. I am telling my groomsmen and all the bridesmaids to do the same just in case.

 

Also those are awesome invites! I commend you on the great work. I really wanted to do my own but I am way too busy to do it. It's so much better to do it on your own because you do it exactly the way you want and probably save a lot too.

Very Cute Shay, I on the other hand have had a complete bridal meltdown over my STD cards. I had found some online that I loved loved loved but they were not the right colors. So my cousin's hubby (they are helping us plan and are part of the wedding party) said he could photoshop them no problem to change the colors. I said great! 3 weeks later and a zillion changes and he is probably sick of me. I just wanted them to be perfect and it seemed like he just wouldn't listen to what I wanted. And you can't pester someone that is helping you to hurry up. But I wanted to mail them a couple weeks ago. So now I have a copy that I absolutely love but I'm afraid the font is too small and I have a copy of the one with the font he enlarged but he went overboard and I think its too big. I don't dare ask him to change it again! So now I am stuck. And I am sad.

 

Nothing seems to be going right and although Zulma confirmed that she recieved my payment like a week and a half ago, they have not taken the money from my account yet, which worries me.
