Mine told me the same thing however I'm going to try and smuggle Fernando in without paying it, hehe.  It seems the on site coordinators are a little bit more flexible with things.  The WC we are dealing with now I think are following a "script" when they are answering our questions.  That's the impression I get anyways...

I just had a few questions about a few things, especially for those who are very near their big day, and for those who have already had the most amazing day of their life!!

We are from Calgary, and we are curious about the documents for the wedding. Our WC is telling us we don't need any documents translated into Spanish, and  apostilled (sp?), we just need our passports and customs card. This makes me nervous! I don't want to get there and have them say we can't get married!!!

Also, has anyone else found out that the DJ's have increased their prices? We found out that it's another $150 for his services!! I feel that it's crazy to have it jacked up, especially that we already booked him, so why the increase in price now?? Grr...

Any tips for the reception on the beach? (in front of Pelicano's). Did people have problems with wind??

Thanks for all the great ideas! This web site helps out with so much!!

Yeah my WC sent me updated prices too and ummm I didn't even glance at them, I'm paying what I was originally told, that's what we budgeted for etc.  I didn't even acknowledge the email and will be using all the original pricing we were sent.  I'm not letting it be an option.  I was quite annoyed they even sent me it.

This site is great, ask away.  I am having my reception on Pelicano's beach too! :)

Did anyone use them as the "travel agent" the wedding specialist Angie explained they could be used as our travel agent and the guests would call her directly to receive discounts associated with the stay for our wedding, but this wouldn't include a package as they would still have to get  the airfare on their own. I was just curious as to how others handled this? Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks!

We were originally going to do this however as soon as we sent the contact info out we were assigned a new WC and we are now on our 3rd.  I was afraid that people's reservations etc would get messed up with the turn over. I have to sayy they have really gotten their act together the past few months though.  They are much more organized and seem to have a better system of doing things...

Hi ladies! I am really considering theb Royal for my wedding Feb. 19, 2012. I am still navgating and learning the forum, but, all your posts are really helping. One question, maybe you all can help. I have not gotten a straight answer on group room rates. Does anyone have an average ballpark figgure on what room rates are during this time for guests? I want to be sure my guests will be able to afford. Thanks so much!

Chicagobride2011....Thanks so much for the information, I guess I can just send out the information they give and guests can decide if that is something they want to go with....I was just curious if you think the discount is worth booking it separately (flight and vacation package) or if maybe a travel agent would be a better idea?

Lisa - Love the pics girl! You totally rocked it. I can't wait to meet Fernando!! I really like the eye makeup, very glamorous.

Rissa - I used a travel agent. It just made more sense to me to have one person make arrangements for everyone.

We have the luxury package and the photos & video are included. We're using their photographer but not during the ceremony so that person doesn't get in the way of our own photographer.

So it seems that they changed their wedding menu? I wonder if we can make substitutions?

To see pics of the resort photographer - search for LadyDi - she included pics theirs and her own. You can see the quality. Hope this helps! cheers.gif
