Hey Lisa and Raveyn (hope I spelled that right) - Would you ladies recommend getting the Royal's wedding video?  Do you think it was worth the cost in the end?  Our package doesn't include it.  Me and my FI are torn over this.  Our budget is tight so we are evaluating all costs.  Pros, cons???

Hey everyone!  Thanks for all the well wishes...we are getting so close.  We leave this Thursday morning and the wedding is on Saturday.  It's almost surreal that we are within one week.  I picked up my fiance's Boudoir Photography Book today and I couldn't be happier with the final result.  Well as promised, I have decided to share some of the photos.  (Thanks Jess for the inspiration and being the first brave one to post yours!)  I appologize in advance if this offends anyone!  Any Houston brides interested, I would love to share Norma's information with you (Houston Boudior Photography).

I would definitely recommend it. I went back and forth on maybe adding it for the reception and decided to just go with the ceremony one. It is great to see and relive again. Do it! I actually wish I would have just sucked up the cost and done it for part of the reception too because my brother took a few video clips at the reception (I had no idea until later) and I was soooo thankful because it let us remember EXACTLY how it was- the songs played, the dancing, and frivolity.

They did a good job editing it too and catching little touches like the sky, our wedding programs, the guys being nervous and joking around before the ceremony, the harpist warming up (the harpist was amazing btw- i had him play canon in d when i walked out). You won't regret paying the extra money, but you will regret not doing it. You only live once, right? :-)

Yup! You spelled it right! I would DEFINITELY recommend doing the video! We went with the sunrise package. Instead of having them follow us on a shoot, we had the videographer spend time before the wedding in the guys room and the girls room. It's really cool seeing what the mood was like/behind the scenes before the wedding. Right after the wedding, we had him record special messages that the guests wanted to say to us. It was really cool. We got it about 5 days after the wedding (we said in Mexico for another week) and they delivered it to our second resort. Overall, I was pleased, but upset that they didn't get us inking and stamping our thumbs. I emailed them and asked them to put chapters on the DVD-you may want to do that beforehand and asked them about the thumbprints. The excuse i was given is right at that time the photographer got in the way. So I asked, well, we each had t ink and stamp 4 certificates so you should have some footage. They basically responded saying they didn't, but if we had a photo they would attach it to the video and offered us 2 extra copies for the inconvenience. If I had to do it all over again, I would DEFINITELY do it. DH and I both regret not doing the reception too (if you have the extra $-it is expensive).

Thanks ladies!  Man was it hard work though...pretty much a good 6 months of working out 5 or more times a week.  My fiance has been working out with me and now he is a skinny minnie!!  I would actually prefer he put on some weight, but hey you win some and you lose some! cheesy.gif  I am thankful of how supportive he has been, not to mention helpful.  He used to be a personal trainer so getting that help for free was a blessing!  I have drafted out my planning thread and it's going to be crazy long!  I have been really busy at work, but I will do my best to get it out!

Thursday morning at 6:30 AM and we are on our way........!!!!!!!!!  I can feel the sunshine already!
