ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Hey ladies! While I am technically new to the board I have been keeping up with yalls posts for a few months. Very helpful!! Yall have amazing ideas!

 

I just wanted to say I complained to upper management in Mexico about the lack of communication from the ladies in Michigan. I NEVER got responses back. Literally. And I hated to leave the Royal because the hotel in itself was everything I wanted! So I sent them an email and apparently the girls in Michigan got it too as I recieved a not so nice email from Angie... and I'll say my email to the big wigs was in no way rude. Just firm and to the point but still nice.

 

I also got an email yesterday that the upper management is coming up from Mexico for "big meetings" this whole weekend. I HOPE they get things straightened out. It's just frustrating. I know when I started planning a wedding here at home I would get responses back from vendors within minutes or at least in 24 hours... and I'm talking popular vendors as well so to me there's really no excuse. So when you don't hear from some for weeks, or EVER, for that matter, it's a little disheartening.

 

PHEW! OK other than that!!!!!!

Well my FMIL, who speaks spanish thank GOD, called down there and apparently worked her way around. She got one of the WCs emails down there and she forwarded my email on to her management people.

 

I felt horrible after cause I'm so not the "bridezilla" type person. I am probably one of the most laid back people you would ever met, but I had just had enough.

 

I'm praying for everyone's sake on here that they get their stuff in line!!

 

And I'm at Royal in Cancun not PDC but the planning and coordinators and all that are all one in the same.

Has anyone been intouch or heard from Suzanna? I thought I was back on track when I spoke to her on the phone and by email over a month ago, and since then nothing. She sent over my contract again, and I told her there were still errors, she replied 20 minutes later saying she was going to correct it and again send it. Havent heard from her since.... This communication is BS

It was good! they have a better cheesecake that I had at the french restuarant. My fiance really enjoyed the cheesecake from the testing, however we choose the tart tartin or something to that effect, because of the wedding cake.

I have Suzanna... well I had Angie, then Suzanna, then Angie again then Suzanna again.

Suzanna sent me an email yesterday (the first one I have gotten from her in 3 months... funny she sends it AFTER I complained) saying she'll be getting with me on Monday or Tuesday to go over details of my wedding as they have the people from Mexico coming in for meetings all weekend.

Yea, I had Kimberly, then no one for a month, then I called and complained and Suzanna is who I complained too, and she said she spoke to Carol and she was going to be my WC now, and that I should be patient with her because alot of her brides dislike her, because she takes a while to respond, and then I felt bad that I yelled at her, so I told her id be patient, but not this patient. LOL I too sent an email yesterday complaing, and I even said I was going to contact the President of The Royal by the end of this week, If I dont hear from anyone in thier office. And im not bluffing, because I actually met him and have his contact info, I would just hate to use it for this.
But enough is enough im 5 month outs, and I still can not answer my photographers questions, cause of the lack of communication. I cant do my programs, 'cause I too ( I noticed a few posts, about this) am waiting to know how thier ceremony works. I am stressed, and snowed in. LOL

This is a good sign for future brides that management is making a trip to Michigan! May not help us girls whose weddings are so close but oh well, something needs to be done. I have to say, I don't know what I'd do without this forum!! Its kinda scary to think about because I've gotten so much info on here its unbelievable. I'd be lost without BDW!!!!

i completely agree. it was such a HUGE relief when i found out that i wasn't alone in the communication issues with the WCs. that, along with reading that it all works out once you're in mexico and all the weddings turn out beautifully makes me breathe a lot more easily!

I know how you feel- you want to be cool, but at some point, you HAVE to have some information in order to move forward in your planning.

Didn't they go for a "big meeting" a few weeks ago? I hope they are not just using that line to get some of us off their backs for awhile (like the ever popular "our email system is down") If corporate is truly going to the Michigan office, then kudos to them.

Aww I know girl **hugs**...I had a little breaking point a week or two ago because I was so sad and thinking I might have to change venues. Luckily I have you ladies and the awesome TA's to help.
