ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Candice-

Thanks so much! Your party is just planning on meeting up at a certain time? I think that is how is works...?

As for pricing on the packages, this past year when prices were lower I locked in. I assumed that if prices went down further, I could get that, but if not at least I had a quote in writing. Just make sure you get whatever pricing in writing from the hotel b/c prices can go up and they have to honor what was quoted to you, but if prices go down you should be able to get the new pricing. I can't believe how much the pricing and packages change over a year! Kind of crazy.

Hey ladies! I've been MIA on this forum for awhile. Our wedding is only 27 days away! It's crazy how fast time flies! How many of you ladies are doing the legal ceremony in Mexico? We picked symbolic, and were planning on legalizing before we get to Playa, but now i'm thinking civil just so it feels more real on our wedding day. Any thoughts?

We were going to go the same route and chose to do civil in Mexico. We felt like you said that it would feel more real and literally we would be getting married there. We felt it would take away from the moment if we did it before. Either way you will know what is best and work for you guys :)

Hi - I had a civil ceremony in Mexico ( i figured all these people were paying lots of money to fly down and see us get married - might was well be the real thing right?) I had NO trouble when i got back legalizing my marriage. I didn't even have to translate anything!!! I just handed my marriage certificate to social security office ( in person ) and 3 days later got my new ss card!! Same thing went for my drivers license and town hall. It was so easy. I still have to do all my credit cards ( argh its kinda a pain changing your name for ALLL your stuff!!!) But i had no problems with it being from Mexico. You may find at first some people are confused and don't know what to do with a Mexican marriage license, but they must get these all the time, b/c i never ran into a conflict. ( not yet anyways!) :-)

For those who are doing a Symbolic Ceremony like I am:

Does anyone know what exactly the minister says during the ceremony? Or have a copy of what he says you could send to me please? I just wonder if they say the same things as a normal ceremony...

Thanks,

Adriana

if anyone has this information, my email is [email protected]

Thanks !!!

Hi ladies checking in, I haven't checked the thread for awhile. I just wanted to give an update. Fi and I will not be having our wedding at the Royal any longer, but we still plan to spend our honeymoon there. We're either going to Barcelo or Dreams Tulum which is going to be a better fit for our guests. Good luck to everyone planning their weddings and although mine is so far out I will contribute pics after our honeymoon about the resort.
