we dated for 6 years before he popped the question.. it'll be almost 8 by the time the wedding rolls around.

eek, with all these years you all have been together, now it sounds so short lol. We had been dating 10 months when he proposed, we'll have been dating almost 2 years by the time we get married. Some people may think it's soon, but it really just does depend on the person. They all say that when you know, you just know.

I love all you 7+ ladies out there!!! It's a good thing my FI didn't see that before he proposed cause I had him convinced that we were the only couple out there that had been dating for a happy 5 years and still not engaged!

I am amazed and impressed by all the ladies who had to wait 5, 6, 7+ years (unless you were younger and it made sense, of course). Anthony proposed to me on the third anniversary of our first date, and I thought THAT was a long time!!

We were just approaching out 4 year anniversary when DH proposed. We actually got married on our 5 year anniversary. Couldn't have been more perfect.
