How long did you date before enagaged?

Ok Ladies, I think I'm the winner here.

 

Vince and I met July 1984. By the time we get married (7/19/2010) we'll have been together 26 years. Yes, I think I'll keep him.

We have been together 14 months! we just got engaged last weekend! and we are getting married December 31st, 2010!! Not gonna lie I am kind of excited!!!!

Well, didn't go through all the threads but think I'm the shortest engagement or close to it. We met in March, 2009 but we barely talked to each other. He tried to talk to me a lot and finally one night, I went out dancing and the d.j. said that there was a rental car outside with their headlights on. I couldn't remember the license plates so out the door I went and he stopped me on the way out..it wasn't my vehicle but we talked for the rest of the night plus he gave me his phone number. :0 We talked on the phone a lot but then he moved away. Officially, I would say we started dating on my birthday. I visited him for my birthday. He asked me to marry him Christmas 2009and February he put the ring on my finger. He told me that he knew that I was the one from the first day that he saw me. I took a little convincing. We will marry Jan 22, 2011. Three months before the proposal and five months before the ring. We will be together 1 year and 4months when we get married.

We're in the running for the shortest... sort of.

 

We started dating on May 22/09 and he asked me on Sept 5/09. We're getting married 11 months after we started dating.

 

However, we did date once before for a couple of months a few years ago, switched to friends only, lost touch and then reconnected in Jan 2009. So technically its 11 months but we've known each other for about 3 years

We were only together 1 1/2 years before we got engaged, but we are having a long engagement, getting married in 2012!!
