Can you freeze M&M's?

OMG this thread gave me a flash back.. my grandmother used to freeze m&ms (well lots of candy) foreverrrr and then we'd get to find it on Easter = gross!! m&ms aren't good after being frozen for a long time, they do get chalky... But as has been posted above just store them, don't freeze them and you'll be fine.. Good luck finding the perfect m&m ladies just had to share!

I felt like I should share my experience... So, for work we had to ship M&Ms once and since we live in Texas, we shipped them with dry ice and they exploded. Just wanted to share in case anybody had the same crazy idea we did...

That makes sense because dry ice goes from solid to gas. If there is no way for the gas to escape the pressure will increase and they will explode.

yes I freeze them they r fine I've had some since christmas I always get big bags of them in my stocking and they are good for a long long time

well you have given me a lot to think about. I want to do m&m's but I never thought about buying them now or after easter. that will be a big saving for me. thanks so much for this thread

Do the pastel m&ms have easter bunnies or anything on them? I looked at some bags at our grocery store and they had bunnies on them...I was very bummed!

No the 7oz bags do not, just the mixed bags do
