Petals

What kind of box or bag did you use to put flower petals in for people to throw when you walk down the aisle. I've seen cute pictures of people using paper cones, but how did you keep them upright? and do you put one on every seat or just on the aisle seats?

I found a really cute saying to use whenever i figure the container out...

 

To toss in the air and sprinkle around

To shower the couple so that joy will abound

When Trish and Matt exit as a pair

Please joyously toss your petals high in the air

I think that they hang them from ribbon on the backs of chairs in the cone to keep it upright. And I am not sure about if it is just the aisle-ending people.... I guess it would depend on the amount of people and the setup.

You could put them in those little organza bags and attach your saying to the outside. Then you could lay them on each seat.

We were planning on making petal cones, but we ended up finding large organza bags that worked perfectly! It was a good thing, because the chairs we had didn't have something to hang the cones from

 

Also, much less work since it was 1 less DIY. We also put them on every chair.

You can put it in a bucket, pail, or box filled with sand, pebbles, or something else to hold them upright. I am making my own cones out of cardstock, but I know there are sites out there that sell them. Here are some inspiration pics:

What type of petals are you using? Do you know if the resort will clean them up or do you?

I used organza bags and printed out a saying which I put on a card on the inside- you could read it from the outside.
