Cardboard thingy in dress

So when I picked up my dress they have this cardboard in it I guess to keep the form but it seems so bulky and I don't think it would be better for me to take it out to transport it on the airplane because it makes it so big. Did any of you other girls have this in your dress when you got it and if so did you leave it in to take it with you on the plane or did you take it out??

Hahah I posted this exact same thing when I was leaving for my wedding and noone posted anything I don't think. I took it out and it was absolutely fine. The closest on the plane are pretty small and I'm pretty sure it would of been more of a hassle to try to fit it in. So I would take it out. It made it easier to carry too.

I left mine in and I put DH suit and our daughters BM dress in the bag with it, they were all perfect when we got there. We didn't even have to get them pressed.

 

When they did my dress they put it on the cardboard thing, but they also pinned my dress kind of up and in the front, if that makes sense, when I got there I just had to unpin it and let it fall down.
