Growing Your Hair Out For the Wedding?

Martha

Oh yes dear....me too! I'm already plotting with my hairdresser how we are going to cut it after I get back from the wedding. I just always pictured myself with Jessica Simpson styled hair for my wedding.....hence the torture of growing it out now!

Ha ha... that's funny! The town I live in full of "young soccer mom" types. So everyone has cute short haircuts and it drives me crazy!

What we do to look beautiful on our Wedding Day!!

My hair is the same way and I keep teasing FI that I will chop it off after the wedding. I am so sick of my hair!

i grew it out and now it's SUPER long (1/2 way down my back, which sucks for curly hair b/c the weight pulls it down)...i was going to cut it immediately, but since i wear it in a ponytail all the time, i'm going to wait until it's long enough to donate...then i'm cutting that shit off!

I'm going to the hairdresser on Friday and I hope that I have the willpower to not tell her to cut it short again!

Just an FYI though. I started using "Aveda" shampoo and conditioner a few months ago and my hair has become SO healthy since. I used Paul Mitchel before and I prefer the Aveda.

I have been using Aveda products for years and love them. I started growing my hair towards the end of last year. I also have an angled cut aka the Posh cut, but now it is just past my shoulders in the back and longer in the front. I just made an appointment for Wednesday to get a trim to even it out. I usually keep my hair short, but I have noticed my hair grows faster over the summer. I think the 1/2 a month is just an estimate.

Argh, my hair is driving me CARAZY! I am soo tempted to get a body wave but am afraid my hair will look fried by the wedding in May. Plus I color so I don't want that double processed look. Are you guys growing your layers out too? I had more layers when it was shorter, but am letting them grow out too, not to be all one length though because that will drive me even more crazy. Love this thread!

I cut my hair off last May, and FI did not like it at all. It's just so easy, but I have been growing it out for the wedding. I had a "pre-do" a few weeks ago, and decided my hair would look best cut at my chin in a bob, so I will actually be cutting it off.. just a little bit before the wedding. It's now below my chin almost to my shoulders but very layered.
