Hey Ladies!

We're getting married on at resort on Sanibel Island, FL April 10, 2008. We're having a small wedding (about 35 guests) I have a planner, and she’s handling many of the responsibilities, but I am hoping to come up with a fun aisle. Like some of the other brides, I don’t want a huge long aisle, but something needs to define it… We’ll only have 30 chairs so that’s really only 5 or 6 rows. I want to put something at the end of the chairs and have that “something” goes a little beyond the chairs. I don't think tiki tourches will work beacuse of the wind.

Sanibel is all about the environment and keeping things clean because it is such a prestigious beach.

The shells are just amazing Welcome to Sanibel Island.com!

Any ideas?

Thanks so much!!

Becky

You could stand parasols up at the end of each aisle along with a large starfish (I think Sarah had something similar to this??)

We are putting down some greenery and coconuts ... but our aisle will be in the gardens leading to a gazebo that overlooks the beach. Also, do an Advanced Search for "huppa" and "aisle" in some of the other sections. There are tons of great pics and ideas on here, but I don't think there are many in the DIY area yet.

Here is what we are doing:

And a few pics of other options I had saved from beach pics at my resort (some of the other girls have much better ideas, though!):

I don't mind at all. We also had rose petals, but the pic was taken before they put them down.

I don't have any specific ideas but maybe you can do something that can also be used as table centerpeices like wide clear plastic vases full of seashells and a candle in the middle.

I am sure there are better things you can come up with but that is something cost effective if you are on a budget.
