That was really helpful. I think the one thing I'm most worried about is how the day will flow. Its just hard to imagine.

I have a number of different wedding day timelines I could attach; this one is ridiculously detailed, but if you want an idea of how a full day flowed, this is it. I don't do them in Excel b/c I find that it's almost more confusing that way. (And for those wondering, no, the bridemaids and groomsmen don't have a timeline as detailed as this! I just basically write out where they need to be, and when.)

For future reference, if anyone needs help with their timeline, I'd be glad to help! (Maybe I'll start a timeline thread...)

Disclaimer: I changed and deleted some of the names in the Timeline, to protect the bride and groom.

Your welcome. I struggled with the same thing...so I am glad to help. Just remember, it always works out. But remember to tell everyone where they need to be in regards to photos, etc. It was sort of chaotic after the ceremony, bcz I forgot to tell the family & bridal part what was up after. So we spent a lot of time gathering everyone up for photos.

Hey Glenda, the reception can last as long as you want it to. I think the latest it can go is 11:00. At first I was going to end mine at 10:00 and then get everyone to go into town to party it up. But I ended up changing my mind and I's so glad I did. Why make everyone pay for drinks when they're free? We had soo much fun and im so glad we extended it for the extra hour. We all continued the party in the lobby bar until 2:00 AM.

Regarding cocktail hour, Mariana blocked off part of the El Patio restaurant. There was a bar set up and the trio gutarists continued to play at the cocktail hour while we took photos. The cost was included in the ceremony set up, so no additional charge! Mariana sent me an appetizer list & I picked 4 hot and 4 cold apps. They were all pretty good except these little mini suasages. They sounded good in my mind, but when we saw them, they looked like a regular sized hot dogs, cut into little pieces with this gravy-like cream sauce over it. Ewww? It was sort of a joke. Everyone kept asking...what are these, no one has the nerve to try it (haHa). The mini quiches were really yummy and all the other apps. below is the menu Mariana sent me. If you are going to go on a site visit, you may as well taste the apps that you are interested in too.

These are what I chose:

I finally have the salsa dancer's contact information (and here's a direct line to fire dancers as well apparently). Here's an excerpt from my email with Claudia (CDM coordinator)

Regarding your question bellow, it is my pleasure to share the information with you! For Salsa Teachers or dancers, I contact a company named Show Happens at Cabo, the contact name is Jorge Cuervo, you can email him at [email protected], he has the contacts for any kind of shows (Cubans, Mexican, Fire Dancers, etc.).

Who this was really helpful. I just read all 16 pages.

I hope you brides will look at this and answer a question I have.

After having a DW, what type of dress do you suggest? Do you think it's alright to wear "traditional" wedding dress or do you suggest a more informal, lighter one?
