Anyone interested in a Book Club?

I finished the book approximately 7 hours after I started it (a delayed flight helped!). Totally loved it!!!

 

I didn't find anything in it to be offensive, there were some more graphic descriptions, but nothing that I thought required a warning. But, if you're more sensitive to something than am I, then, yes, maybe...

I'm loving it. Normally I would have been done by now but I've been super busy lately, I can finish it asap. Just let me know the date and I'll be ready

The only reason I said I wanted a warning is because I'm listening to it on cd, and anything related to the harm of animals makes me cry.

 

So I'm walking around downtown on my lunch break yesterday and people must have thought I was nuts because I'm crying and no one knows why!

Anyway, I think I leave it as a "home" activity only.

Awww...I totally understand that, no worries. You brought up a good point though because our book suggestions aren't evaluated and that's fine, but a disclaimer seemed like a good idea just in case someone gets seriously offended down the line and thinks we chose a specific subject matter that we shouldn't have, you know?

also I think that hearing it read to you by someone else is almost worse. I read those parts fast i think. I agree with starchild that a disclaimer is a good idea that way nobody has to feel completely responsible for the book.
