OK, just sent Perla and Elisa another email to confirm that they booked the one and only judge that can perform a legal ceremony for 3:30 or 4pm on our wedding date.

I wish they'd send us a darn contract already!

Elisa was away the first part of last week - but they've been pretty good lately.

Of course, whenever I want something in a hurry, I call. And they almost always get back to me the same day.

For me, it's not too bad because I have Vonage and I can call Mexico for free - but thank heavens because it would be sooooo expensive otherwise.

Back to the timelines... now that I've gotten my STDs out, I don't have a project to keep me out of trouble, so if you want me to, I'd be happy to design something for you. Just let me know what sort of thing you might be thinking of.

Perla confirmed the judge for the time I requested in early January - I am waiting to hear back from her on the cost as her response when I asked her the last time was not clear at all!

The prices I received from DJ Swank were 1250 for four hours - actually I think these prices came from Becks! In terms of timeline - Perla informed me that it's " an extra per person cost per hour over the time" which I need to confirm what exactly that is but perhaps that's anything over the 4 hour mark!

I'll let you know her response!

The price I received for the DJ was higher than that, I think...

Yes, just found my notes. I've got $1700 for the DJ for 4 hours (which includes all equipment). I've also got $450 for the sound system for 4 hours, but I'm thinking that's for all night... So, maybe the $1250 you have is the DJ, without the sound system, because $1250+$450=$1700

Ok so I just received an email from Perla with the following answers to my questions:

1) Is the legal ceremony is included in the pkg cost?

A: No is not, a surcharge of $1000USD plus 10% of tax will apply.

2) How do I know how many extra hours we will need for the reception? What is the cost per person for each hour?

A: The additional hour is $10USD per person per hour. The wedding packages include 4 hours of services starting from the ceremony. And remember that here is a surcharge per person per hour for the extra hours. And also after 12pm there is a fee of $50USD per waiter in cash that you need to pay.

I am slightly irritated at this b/c what it means is that, because my ceremony is at 3:30 - my package is over at 7:30 - seems stupid so I emailed her back asking how it worked if we didn't choose a package!

I feel like the costs are starting to get out of control! Not sure it's worth it to do the package since the cost of the ceremony isn't even included.

Are you girls all going with the DJ?

Especially because we are expecting 50 people - so if we dance til 1:00 am that means it will be $500 an hour extra x 5 hours plus $100 for the bartenders... so an extras $2600! YIKERS...

We are debating between DJ and IPOD and also for photography.. I really want to bring someone but I hate thinking of the cost!

(GOD my work has suffered these days because of this forum!)
