Okay well here is my "Fat-Cow Story" story...I was pretty much chubby all my life, after high school I postponed college for a year and dedicated my time to working out and eating healthier...I lost weight and I felt great and I wore my 1st two-piece bathing suit. I kept it off from 1997 til I was preggers in 2001, my 1st prenatal appt I weighed 150 (I gained 20lbs in the 2 years I was with FI)...I gained 55lbs during pregnancy and since then I have struggled with my weight (for the past 5 years). Some days I cry and some days I'm okay...but this weight is a major crutch for me. It effects me on MANY levels....and deep-down I really want to lose the weight and be fit but I don't know how to stick with anything. Ive tried so many diets and I'm tired of it...I just want to make a lifestyle change and thats it. I dont want to sound vain but I dont want to look fat on my wedding day; I dont want to walk around with a sarong on my honeymoon and be worrying about laying the right way on the beach so that my fat distributes evenly and I wont look "that fat". agghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh rant.gif

Once you cut sweets and naughties out of your diet you won't even crave them anymore, expecially fast food, you will actually feel sick after eating it if you're used to healthy stuff. DRINK water when you feel hungry, alot of time, it's actually thirst and build up your metabalism by eating about every 3 hours, but LIMITED to a handful of nuts, luna bar, or fruit. American food portians do not help in this matter, seriously, if you go out, ask for a box as you get your food, divide everything in half, eat your portion and you will actually be full of half instead of walking away stuffed! Then you have another meal for tomorrow's lunch :) This has helped a ton and I finally put down the big bucks and got a personal trainer! I know this is easier said than done, but you ALL are STRONG women, MIND over matter, FIGHT and kick some booty and those pounds!!!

I agree with everything but this. Sweets is usually what throws me over the edge. I make it about 1-2 weeks before I go crazy

i dissagree about the sweets thing... personally as long as its natrual sweetners like cane sugar and not high fructose corn syrup your body an break it down. and as long as you arent over doing it . the great thing about "the abs diet for women" is that it really breaks down how your body uses and burns calories in a way that everyone can understand. your body doesnt see HFCS and trans fats as anything more then a chemical so it stores it as fat right away which will make it much tougher to burn that off.

You got it right.....all natural things and stay away from the over processed stuff. Once you "cut" anything right from you diet your body will crave it. Anything in moderation if fine and you should never ignore cravings, if you're craving sweets try limiting yourself to a hershey kiss.

Now I know that's easier said than done and it usually lasts a while for me and then I give in to the binge....that's my problem the bingeing!

But in all honesty it's really hard to give advice unless you've been there or are there. Like I said in an earlier post if it was as easy as going on a diet then we'd all be a size 2. We know what needs to be done it's over coming the emotional and psychological part of it that's the hard part. Because over eating or emotional eating isn't cured by....."just stop eating so much" or "cut this out of your diet". You have to heal why you do it and then you can move from there.

And I speak from experience I've been there and am currently there, I've gone to Eating Disorder Therapy and have had personal trainers. I enjoy excerise and love to work out but it's all defeated when at 12am I'm worried about something I hear the cheese and crackers in the kitchen calling my name... Sometimes I fight but other times it gets me! I'm sure that's what most of us here are going through.

Stay strong...

hehe I always say I'd be 15lbs lighter if it weren't for my boobs! I'm top heavy also.. WW is definitely the way to go. Everyone I know that's on it always loses (if sticking to the plan). I think I'm going to join very soon. I have a 20lb goal to meet by next February. My weight fluctuates so easy between 5-10lbs.. one day I could be 135lbs..the next day 130..the next 137lbs.. I hate it.
