I love your e-ring! I always felt like the diamonds on the side of that type of ring were sort of your special diamonds that the world doesn't always know about. Does that make any sense? Any band is going to cover at least 1 side, but you'll still know its there...

I am STILL struggling to find something that will work. I've tried every type of band out there and still can't find anything that looks quite right. I'm thinking of getting something custom made. Anybody done anything like that? Is it super expensive?

My friend is having her band custom made to fit with her custom made e-ring. I think the expense really depends on the metal used, and the amount of detail involved in constructing it. Have you been to a jeweler who does custom jewelry? Sometimes they have good ideas you can ask them about and then find a ring that's already made like it.

 

What is your w-band budget? Do you want more diamonds in the band? My friend ended up with a platinum band with diamonds and it was actually cheaper than if she had not gotten diamonds because platinum is so expensive right now! So you just never know until you talk to a jeweler. Sometimes they charge more if they have to come up with the design as well.

Thanks Pisces! I have a platinum ring so I would like to get the same in a band. We haven't really established a budget for bands so anything is free game (hehehe). I guess the prob is that I really don't have an idea of what I want... nothing I find seems to look good. I have a friend who knows a jeweler so maybe I'll go in and see what he thinks.

I have hidden diamonds on each side of my ring too. I couldn't find a band that complimented it so I gave up and just kept my e-ring as my wedding band. I love it too much to degrade it to the right hand and get a separate wedding band.

i wonder if you could find or get a custom made band that is more of a curved U shape? so that it would be open on the top and not hide the diamonds. does that make sense? could be kinda cool. but if you're doing any sort of ring ceremony that talks about an unbroken circle, thats out of the ??

My E-ring is in platinum and I just had a custom wedding band made to match but in palladium, which is in the same metal family as platinum but CHEAPER and actually wears better and is just a tad shiner but not enough to notice - I was told! So for my palladium band with .27 carats of diamonds was $1200 , if I had done with platinum I would have spent $1600 - $1800 hope that helps a bit
