They "found" our room reservations. But you have to schedule weddings and rooms separately. I went through and printed all e-mail correspondence and typed a "speech" with points I want to bring up. I just couldn't handle anything today because I was so mad I was shaking!

The on-site coordinator is still there, Tamekia, I'm dealing with the state-side coordinator, Debbie.

I plan to give her supervisor/director of customer relations/president, the highest person I can find on the totem pole and get this resolved tomorrow! My wedding is 4 months from today!

We aren't booked through them directly Tammy, we are going through my travel agent who used Northwest Vacations. I have issues with them too but none as huge as this! I was going to PM you to see if you had any particular advice or contact person.
''yes, you do normally book your room and wedding seperately...at most resorts they are 2 different depts. why a TA that specializes in DWs would help in a matter like this...

i think you meant TA jennifer...she works alot with couples resorts...but maybe your supplier can step in. i try to only use suppliers that "have my back".

Thanks Tammy I was thinking about TA Jennifer. Unfortunately we had already booked when I found BDW.

I knew they were different depts. I thought I had made the proper arrangements but was apparently lost in the shuffle when the new girl took over.

ok, my take. it sounds like it really is their screw up so they should contact this other wedding and make them move...this is really unnacceptable.

If the resort doesn't make things right, switching resorts is an option, i did it at a little less than 4 months out. We had our flights booked and so did lots of our guests but the resort (Grand Lido Negril) refused to honor the quote they gave us for a group rate and that was the straw that broke the camel's back! (They "lost" our room deposit and reservation and were complete a-holes to my FFIL who was booking for our whole group.) We were kind of tied to our dates and Jamaica because we had our flights already but there are a whole lot of resorts in Jamaica thankfully. Oh, and I had already sent out my invitations too. No one seemed to care too much about the change, actually, most people were happy cause it saved them over $1000! Good luck!

I'm really trying not to have to switch resorts. I've already done that once! We were booked at Grand Lido Braco and had nothing but trouble with them. My guests were calling me because of all of the negative reviews all over the internet! I would really hate to switch again!

Good luck - I think you and your TA should be able to force them to give you the original slot! In fact the Hilton did this (was the other person) once. She confirmed a date and time and then called me back like 2 hours later to say she made a mistake and then time was already taken. And honestly it was no big deal! But the longer the hotel waits to do this the bigger an issue it will be for them. They need to cancel the other weding ASAP before that person starts having invites printed!

I went through a similar situation. I booked the hotel and got a confirmation for the 5:00 wedidng slot. But somehow is was gone!! Do you have a travel agent? I called mine and she went to work! I didn't get the slot I wanted, I settled forthe 2 pm. . .but I let her do the dirty work for me and she was great!

Ok, I talked with the coordinator today and they moved the other couple! I now officially have a wedding date and time!!!!

They have offered us group reservations at Patois Patio for our reception instead of us having to pay for a separate one. It won't be as private, but it is free!
