Ditto!!!

Sparkles...you should have just had an uneven number - you could always have one GM walk with 2 BMs...I've seen it done. But, what's done is done & you never know...she may surprise you & you could be so happy you had her around!!

Crystal...that is a pretty big confession!! Wowzers girl!! I don't know anyone I can say that about - except maybe a generalized group like pediphiles (sp?) and serial killers. But like you said - he was a complete asshole & if that's the only way she could be rid of him than good riddance I say!!

Crystal - wow, for EVERYTHING that your friend has gone through and IS going through, I am very sorry for her and her children. I hope she's ok. It sounds like, in the long run, that she is better off without him but it is still very sad that he killed himself. May I ask if it was intentional or if he was intoxicated at the time? My appologies if this is to personal, if you don't want to answer, I completely understand. My thoughts are with your friend during this difficult time in her life.

I guess I could have worded it better...I'm not happy he's dead, but I'm happy, no matter how, that he's out of my friends life.

But yeah, he was a total loser.

She's doing better everyday. She was back to smiling, laughing and making plans after a few days. She's just pissed at him for leaving his children, not her. Last spring, she found out she was pregnant a month after she left him and was already dating someone else and had filed for divorce. She's ready to move on.

It was completely intentional. She picked her children up from his moms after work and came home and found him. He hung himself.

It's always sad when someone dies. Esp. so young. He was 26. She's 23.

She said she's glad he's in a better place and he was obviously hurting more than she ever could have guessed, but she feels liberated.

Crystal - thanks for sharing with us. Im happy to hear your friend is doing OK. It is sad for the kids but to be honest he didnt seem like the kind of person anyone would want their kids around. Its just sad all around but Im happy your friend can really move on.

post-wedding confessions:

i confess that i felt badly about not spending much time with my best friend during the wedding week (until the night before the wedding, which we spent together, followed by breakfast and beach), and felt absolutely awful about her having to room with my sister, who was almost constantly a miserable bitch AND snored ungodly.

i confess that i was inordinately excited to have met another BDW bride (quackquack) at dreams!

i confess that there was no consumation of the marriage on the wedding night, nor the next morning. more like a quickie before dinner the next night, lol.

i confess that i should have never allowed my ipod to be removed from the dock even for one minute during the reception. i'm still kinda annoyed at the random crap that got played, and how the playlist i worked so hard on didn't even get played halfway through. we missed some of the best songs, and the transitions between ipods weren't smooth at all. kinda ghetto.

i confess that i wish i hadn't let my DH convince me to skip the pics at the lighthouse. i love the pics i've seen so far, but i'd wanted those lighthouse photos since the day i chose the resort. i also regret missing individual pics with my girls (there was chaos with power outages before the ceremony), and i forgot some things, like a thank you in the sand. in fact, we didn't take a single pic on the beach, lol.

and lastly, i confess that i'm still a little bothered by the fact that our officiant screwed up and pronounced us "mr. and mrs. CHARLES conroy." he skipped over tom's first name and went right to his middle name, which would be no biggie, if my ex's name wasn't charles. ugh.

Me too! Although she was with her husband. Two of my BMs were there for such a short time we didn't get to hang out too much.

Me too! But I can't remember who it was. I will find her though and say Hi.

This is an OMG me too. I was so mad that night about it, but no one else seemed to notice.

Not quite as bad but I was a little annoyed about being Mr. & Mrs. Louallen, mostly b/c I'm not taking his name, I guess I would have just liked a little Husband and Wife or something.

Totally, same wedding. :) All in all it looked like you had a wonderful time though.
