Regardless of what the song really sounds like I think it is so sweet and adorable of your dad to pick this. He obviously took the time to find something that really expressed how he was feeling. I say definitely use it! And consider yourself lucky for having such a great dad!

I think you should feel so blessed to have a Dad that would put so much thought into it... Those are sweet lyrics and even if the sound isn't what you wanted it will mean so much more to him and you that he had a part in it. Go with it....

The lyrics sound great. But I have to confess, I have never heard of this song before. If you don't like the sound of it maybe you could check to see if someone else remade/rerecored it.

 

Remember Dolly Pardon sang "I will always love you" before Whitney Houston, but it was made famous by the way Whitney sang it (and of course the movie).

 

I think it's great your dad took the time to pick it, but if he doesn't mind maybe you could have it recorded by a friend who can sing. I know it's a stretch but it's a thought.
