Baja Weddings Coordination fee = expensive

just wanted to update you that Baja Weddings did come back and lower the overall fee to about $2500 so we are all set!

Not sure if this is relevant or not, but I originally hired Baja Weddings. They assigned WC Varinia to be my planner. And they quoted me $2500 for 40-50 people. I actually thought that was pretty good, considering what WC's charge here in NY. Anyway, a few months ago, Vari decided to leave Baja Weddings and start her own business - Allure Event Design. Not only did I go with her, but she also became a member of the forum. Bottom line, I think $2500 is a pretty good deal for all the planning/work she's done for me, plus her services the day of the wedding. I think you're getting a good deal.

I live here and I would disagree. Yes, Cabo is becoming very popular for destination weddings. Yes, there are some excellent wedding planners. But because so many couples have chosen Cabo there are many more talented individuals and small companies that are now in the business of making weddings a seamless celebration. These people live here and are generally very well connected. Many of them come from the hotel business and understand customer service.

I won't tell you that Cabo is cheap but I will suggest that there are deals to be had everywhere. If you let your WC know that you are price sensitive they will tailor your wedding accordingly. And if you just want to close your eyes and have the WC plan the most incredible, over-the-top wedding, that too can happen for a price. Hope this helps.

hi - well - Jenny and Baja Weddings did a great job - wedding was incredibly beautiful and went off without a hitch thanks to Jenny.

My coordinator is Katie with Weddings in Paradise and the company charges $1750 for up to 50 people. She's been great, but I did get the same reply "that's how it is down here" on a lot of things I questioned...I agree with Helland Photographs...there is less room for negotiation due to supply and demand, but don't stop trying!
