Wow, I haven't posted here in a while. Probably because I did NOTHING for like a month! Anyway, for all you girls who keep telling yourself that you have 6 months, or 9 months, or 4 months, or whatever- let me just tell you from experience that that will FLY by and you will be me right now: 38 days away and wondering what the h*ll happened to all my time!

That being said, I joined a gym last week and have gone 7 out of the last 11 days. My body is so sore i can hardly move, but desperate times... I typically do 30-40 minutes of cardio followed by alternate days of legs/arms. I also do lunges down the long side of the running track.

Keep up the good work girls!

Wowzers Sarah, that's intense. My abs are so sore already today just from my 1 hour pilates i can't even begin to imagine how sore your body must be! Good for you. I know I keep saying I have 6 months to get in some serious shape... but soon it will be 5, then 4 then soon it will be around the corner and I will have done nothing. hahaha

Are you noticing a difference other than being sore? At least it's a good stress releiver - if u have any of that going on :)

Good Job Sarah! I was thinking the other day that about how I have 6 months, but summer is coming and the time is gonna fly by and before we know it, it will be september and I'll be 1 month away from my wedding, yikes!

I got up early this morning and did turbojam, I'm glad I did it, now its done for the day!

Oh my gosh, you are so right about it going by soooo fast!!! I had 9 months when I started my diet/workout regime and though, oh thats plenty of time to get to the size I want. Now it is 16 days away and to get to my original goal I would have to lose another 52 pounds, not happening! But... I lost another 5 pounds this week and am about to go work out now.

On a side note, I tried on my bathing suit Wed night, just to see... and immediately went upstairs to the treadclimber. I normally do 20 minutes or on good nights 30... I stayed on for 60 MINUTES! Whoo weee... I am sick of chicken and lettuce. smile78.gif

lol, the scale hasn't budged in so long I can't remember. But, my clothes fit better, and Jeff says I look better, so I guess you can't always believe the scale.

Unfortunately, it's not that great of a stress reliever for me, mostly because I LOATHE exercise with every cell in my body. I can't tell you how much I hate working out! But, the good thing is that I have a workout buddy now and we do 3-4 days a week, and I try to go at least once more on my own. The problem is that we go at 8am every day, and we both work nights. So, some mornings I'm going to the gym after working a 12 hour night shift and having been up for over 24 hours. There's no need for stress relief- I'm so tired I can hardly function! I usually am falling asleep on my drive home- thank god it's only 10 minutes. Sorry to be a whiner- can you tell I hate exercise?

The other problem is that I can't sleep when I work out- it gives me too much energy. This is great if you work out in the morning and sleep at night- but, I usually can't sleep when I get home (even though I fall asleep while driving- go figure?!). I got 4 1/2 hours of sleep last night, have to be at work at 5 and should supposedly have taken a nap by then (we'll see..., probably won't be able to). I'll work all night, go to the gym from 8-9am, then have a dermatologist appointment at 9:30. I'll go to bed tomorrow morning around 10:30, if I'm lucky. I often go for more than 72 hours on less than 10 hours of sleep.

I said all that to say, I think this is why I can't lose weight. My body doesn't get enough sleep! I know you gain weight when you don't get enough rest and I think working nights is killing me!!!

Ok, sorry to totally hijack this thread with my tired ranting- I don't even expect anyone to respond to this- I just feel better b*tching about it to someone! lol
