Have you exercised today?

I was planning to take a rest day but thought I should try out the new Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD that came in last week. Level 1 is breezy. Short work out in 25 minutes and it is good to get me away from the computer. :)

I didn't work out today, but I did 50 minutes on the elliptical trainer yesterday. I'm planning on doing 45 minutes on the elliptical tomorrow morning before work. I feel like I'm finally getting back into a routine after months of being ridiculously busy at work, and it feels so good!

I ran almost 3 miles yesterday! Weird, as I've had knee surgery in 2007 and have been unable to run for more than 15 minutes since 2006... No complaints though, just wondering why all of a sudden my knee is cooperating. I may pay for this later though!

Tonight I plan on doing my free weights routine, takes me about 40 minutes.

Did 30 mins on the elliptical trainer this morning, which wasn't the 45 mins that I wanted to do, but it was the first morning workout in a LONGGGGG time, and I just counted it as a victory that I actually got my butt out of bed this morning and did it!

 

I feel like I'm finally back on track after months of being a couch potato. I used to at least walk to work every day (30 mins), but then I got promoted and it came with a parking stall, and while that was all very nice, it kind of got in the way of the walking portion of my fitness routine. THEN it got really busy with the new position and well, the rest is history and a whole lot of excuses! I am so happy to finally have some control over my life again and to be back at the gym. I had forgotten how amazing I feel when I hit the gym in the morning. Now I'll just have to remind myself of this feeling when the alarm goes off tomorrow morning!

went to TKB during lunch today but was a little low on energy...definitely need to eat more than just a cereal bar and tea latte for breakfast if I'm going to keep up these lunch hour workouts.

 

I just got my 2 jillian michaels DVDs today. Not sure what equipment I'll need yet but I plan to get everything and start using the dvds this week.

I was supposed to do my free weights routine last night but ended up coming home late from dinner with a friend (during which I evidently royally cheated on my diet). I ran a bit on the treadmill instead: made it to 20 minutes (1.75 miles) before my knee started acting up, and then speed walked to 2 miles...

Tonight, power yoga!!!

Man, after taking 2 weeks off of working out because of work, I finally made it back to the gym yesterday after work and felt so out of shape. It's crazy how fast your stamina can drop just in two weeks. But I made myself get up this morning to try and build it back up.
