So I finally know the problem with my knee: tear of the anterior horn of the lateral meniscus. Now I know why I can no longer run... Will be going in for surgery. Hopefully that will not ruin my plans to lose 10 lbs. I guess if I just live off of soup and veggies I'll be fine :-)

Last night I walked on the treadmill for 35 minutes at a 6% incline (which I discovers burns the equivalent amount of calories as running for 18 minutes on 0% incline) and then did push-ups and sit-ups. And after, went to a 1.25 hour yoga class... Luckily, no knee pain today, so I'll keep up this schedule until the surgery.

Chanti, hope all goes well with surgery! At least there's always the Upper Extremity bike if you have surgery!

Yesterday I went to a Shadow Boxing class at the gym followed by half an hour on the stair master. Today's my day off, so I'm heading to the gym within the hour and trying to hit spin class at noon!

You guys are so motivational! Thanks for posting!

Trice, that's awesome! smile29.gif I only started a real workout regiment 2 weeks ago and am hoping that I drop 30 lbs and I go from 35% to 20% by October! Reading this has given me inspiration! Well, on that note, I am heading downstairs and doing 45 min on the treadmill!

Wii Fit! We just got a Wii for Christmas and I'm dying to get it! Do you girls who have been using it feel like it gives you a good enough workout to "count"?

Reading about all you girls and your workouts is great motivation! My dress just came in so I have 9 months to get my butt in gear for the big day!

I love to run outside and walk for hours when it's warm in the summer. Unfortunately, I live in Boston and our cold, snowy winters make most of us want to eat comfort foods and hibernate. I hate the gym but I'm trying to keep myself motivated!
