how to skip a period???

Hey all!

 

OK so I am going on vaca next week, a cruise to the islands.. And I am pretty sure that I am supposed to get my period!

 

I haven't had a vaca in 4 years and bikini's and periods don't mix. never mind nookie time!

 

Anyway, I am not on the pill, and wanted to know if there was a way to skip a month? Any thoughts?!

 

Or at least delay it?!

not if you aren't on the pill, I really don't think there is a way

I hate when that happens! Are you on any type of bc? I'm pretty sure there's not a way to skip w/o being on the pill. Good luck!

not that I know of. It would also be too late to get on the pill. It takes a while to adjust & be able to skip periods.

 

I hate when it overlaps with vacation, but I look on the bright side- atleast my boobs are bigger that week

I don't think you can without being on birth control. You might call your OB/GYN to see if there is anything she can do. I know there is a shot to "jump start" your cycle. I don't know if there is one that will stop your cycle, short term anyway.

Yeah, I agree with the other ladies ... without being on some sort of BCP ... I think you are outta luck...

Have to concur - without BC to alter your cycle, it's just gonna happen.

 

But, call your OB/GYN and see if she's got any ideas.

Without having the hormones from the pill I am pretty sure you cant skip a period. But definitely give your ob/gyn a ring and see if there are options. On Menstrual Suppression with Birth Control Pills all of the talk is about skipping it while on the pill.

Such a BUMMER! Im gonna call her and find out - if not I am getting on BC for a year so that this doesn't happen again! especially during the wedding! That would stink!

If you get on the pill this week, you might be able to stop it in time for your vacay!
