SMALL wedding...

Recommended Posts

Hey there!

I'm having a small group too - 10 guests, and I'm pretty excited about our day. What we're having is our ceremony on the beach, and then dinner, toasting, and cake on the beach with our guests. It's going to be small, intimate, and awesome!! For such a small group, I saw no reason to hire a band, dj, or have any sort of dance, but the resort is providing a cd player and we're bringing a bunch of music from home. After the ceremony we have 4 hours of bar service on the beach, and once we're done eating and drinking there, we're going to stroll the malecon (Puerto Vallarta) and see what kind of fun we can find!!

I do actually have a big fancy gown, but I don't care - I'm not changing!! It's going to be a great time!

Good luck!

We are also having a small wedding @ the ROR. We have 23 guests total so I really didn't think that it was worth having a reception aside from a dinner that evening. We have a rather large reception planned at home a few weeks after we return, so our guests can just enjoy their time while it lasts in jamaica.

We are having a small wedding with only 7 people. 3 are kids. I am so glad to hear that Im not in the small wedding boat alone. I hear you on getting every chance to wear your dress. Our wedding is at 11 March 13 08 at ROR. I think I may wear my dress all day!!! I think it will be a nice relaxing day becuase I won't feel like I have to entertain 30 or more people. Although I would LOVE all my family and freinds to be there.

Hello Beachbride82,...the sunset cruise sounds like a great idea for the reception. I have been looking into that but have not really found anything...the margaritaville cruis which make a stop to go shopping, etc...any cruises that you know of that will jusy sail into the sunset and then we can all party on the boat. It would be even better if it was a smaller boat that can accomadate just my wedding party....any ideas,... Who did you book with for your reception cruise??
