Get the veil! It is absolutely beautiful. And you FMIL obiviously doesn't mind as she was going to surprise you with it! You only get to wear a veil once... it mind as well be one you LOVE!

Thanks! You all are awesome! Yay! I can't wait till my alterations next month so I can try on my dress with the mantilla again. Even FI had said to get what I want and not worry about the money, and now especially since his mom is willing to get it for me.

Try occansey first to see if they can custom make it for you. Email them that pic. They said they can do mantilla veils and will try to find the perfect lace. It would be so much cheaper and you could use the $200 on some other little extra you wanted.

 

They do really good work too! I love my veil and only spent $45 for a 65" custom veil.

 

But if they can't replicate it and that's the veil you love, get it! Someone else is picking up the tab, so no worries! Just splurge.

They really are great. I'm not really a splurger so I have to vote for find something just as great for a fraction of the cost. That's how I like to do everything.
