Wai-Ching is making our BM dresses, but customizing it. It's the Vendredi, but we're making them sleeveless and they'll be purple with red ties. The dresses are hand dyed and sewn!

PHEW! Glad that's done. I thought it'd be easier to let them pick any style in a particular color... but if I had to do it again, I would've just picked a style and made them all wear it. BLAH!

Way long, unecessary background:

Our wedding party is pretty non-traditional. Doug wanted his son to be his Best Man (Trevor is 12, Doug was 19 when he was born), so I decided it would be nice to have his daughter Ali (9) be my MOH, even tho I have a best friend. Doug has a lot of buddies but not enough good buddies that he would want to ask to be in the wedding to equal the number of ladies I would ask. So we decided to make things easier and not offend a lot of our friends, we would ask Doug's nieces and nephews to be our wedding party. 3 girls ages 4-13, and 3 boys ages 10-15. I am going to have my best friend be my Matron of Honor, and Doug's best friend from kid-hood to be his, UH, Man of Honor? So after all that, we needed a style of dress for the girls that would work for a four year old and a 13 year old, and one that works with the dress Wendy will be wearing. This is what we came up with!

The girls will have Champagne sashes to match the cuff on my dress, and Ali will have a dark brown ribbon along with the sash.

I finally picked have the dress for the girls in my wedding! Its chocolate brown colored and its silk fabric...so light weight and soft!! Its the same dress as this picture but the short version...can't find a picture of the short version anywhere online.
