Bikini Wax?

I'm not sure what I had done -- there were no strips. She just smeared a hot wax on me, let it cool and then ripped that off. I am certain that the experience was bad because of her though haha...because she would try to rip it off and it wasn't cool yet, then she would say "oh I have to wait" then try again, and it was pulling the skin because it wasn't cool enough and attached just to the hair.

But I'm not sure what type of wax it was....can anyone guess?

I just got back from my first ever Brazilian wax, so had to give my feedback. This was the first waxing of any kind I've ever gotten, so obviously I was incredibly nervous. But it truly wasn't that bad at all. She used what you were describing sungoddess, the blue wax that she would rub on and then wait till it cools and then rip it off without any strips. So it still obviously hurt, some areas much worse than others, but it was just like a momentary sting that hurt for a few seconds and then it was fine. I'm not sure I'll go again, but definitely glad I gave it a try for my wedding.

Whoohoo! Just made an appointment for July 21st. Apparently the place I made the appointment at is so popular because they are completely booked for the next 2 weeks! This must be a good sign right? Well, once I get it done I will let you ladies know how it went. Im so nervous!

Sorry if this is TMI but last time I went in to the lady I usually go to, she was joking around about how she had taken a nap between appointments and just woke up not knowing what time it was so she was out of it. I probably should have taken that as a sign:/

The wax was too hot and I told her about halfway through but she said it was at the lowest setting. I should have just stopped right there but I sucked it up and finished and it's hurt for days afterward to the point that my skin is starting to peel I'm kind of dreading going back next time(even though I'm totally sold on waxing now and still will) but I don't know what to tell her so that it doesn't happen again. I really hope it was just a one time thing:/

Kellis, that's terrible. If you are going back to the same place, make sure you tell her what happened and that your skin peeled from the last wax. Also have her check the wax throughout to make sure it is not too hot. If it is too hot again, I would complain to the salon and then find another place to get waxed. I hope this was just a one off and your next appointment is much better.

Yeah, that really sucks! Burned vajayjay is not fun. Did you call her a few adys later to let her know how it was affecting you? If you haven't, I would call to talk to her before you return so she can be prepared.

Ouch! Kellis - sorry you had to endure that. If you decide to go back, I hope you don't have to experience that again.

WOW!! Thats scary!! I go for my first appt tomorrow and that worries me. I hope you dont have to go through that ever again. I can only imagine how uncomfortable you feel.

Don't let my one bad experience turn you off to it, I'm sure you'll be fine.
This place is usually awesome. I give it rave reviews. I think it was just an off day. At least I hope so. This location just opened a couple months ago so maybe I'll go back to the one I went to before, it's just a bit further for me.
