If you want to float the silk flowers you might try coating the underside with parafin wax - just melt a block (check the grocery store in the sugar/flour aisle - it will be with the canning stuff) in an old can set in a pot of boiling water.

I think once you get the flower "waterproofed" it should float. Plus, the wax is also lighter than water, so that should help too.

You're so creative! I agree with the other girls --- I like the first picture the best --- I love the combination of the flowers and shells. I also agree with going with either the floating flower or submerged like Angel's (cheese_diva's). If you stick with the neutral colors on the outside - you might consider doing a really bright bloom in the vase for contrast ...

One other thought - have you checked the burn time on the ikea tea lights? I think that some other girls have warned on other posts that they don't last very long ...

I JUST LOVE THEM ALL !!! That's so creative ... sooo beautiful ... but I have to agree with the other girls about the fish and how they will end up after the ceremony (even if I love the idea of the fish in the vase) ...

Anyway, if I had to absolutely pick, I would go for the fist one ...

ok, ok..... I am a fish lover and avid scuba diver so I can see everyone's point about the fish. On the other hand I eat fish 1-2 times per week. The goldfish Tammy originally wanted to originally use are actually "feeder fish" who tend to be slow swimmers and good eats to other fish. The male beta fish she liked better are very resilient and can survive a 3 year old toddler's care for a few months.(yes, personal experience). Tammy, if all the posts have made you question your decision because of what might happen to the fish.... choose another option if you want - but if your mind is set on the fish, I will take care of all them who are left behind. I think all of them look great!
