So, you say it's just a little fender bender and just a little paint scuff? It might be cheaper in the long run if you just pay for it yourself rather than turning it into your insurance company.

Being the person at the insurance company that sets the rates, I can tell you that having an accident will increase your premium and it'll stay on your record for 3-5 years if not more. So every year you'll pay more in insurance. So if it's just a paint scrape you can usually have it buffed and touched up for $100 or less and it might end up being cheaper for you.
