That sucks, but everyone is okay, and this is just going to be an annoyance. It takes a pretty big person to call and apologize for having a bit of a 'tude. Good for you!

So, you say it's just a little fender bender and just a little paint scuff? It might be cheaper in the long run if you just pay for it yourself rather than turning it into your insurance company.

Being the person at the insurance company that sets the rates, I can tell you that having an accident will increase your premium and it'll stay on your record for 3-5 years if not more. So every year you'll pay more in insurance. So if it's just a paint scrape you can usually have it buffed and touched up for $100 or less and it might end up being cheaper for you.

As a police officer I deal with accidents daily...you did a ton more then anyone ever does. By calling and apologizing you showed you have great character. Everyone has bad days at least you are strong enough to realize it. Glad everyone was ok!

I've had a few of those. I'm glad no one was hurt! I wouldn't feel to bad. The guy will get his car fixed and at least you apologized for being cranky.
