ashley.. i got my bouquet inspiration from pictures by your photographer! she does amazing work, i'm sure you'll be very happy!!

tara.. i was a very easy dress-buyer... didn't take me long at all.. about 2 hours of trying on dresses. it's definitely different for everyone though. i have my first fitting 2 weeks from tomorrow and i can't wait!!

toya, you are AMAZING! it looks like they have just a flat $350 price for the huppah, but nice of them to include that on the list now. it seems like there are a lot more things on there than i originally thought they had available! $1010 for fireworks.. YOWZA!!

misty.. welcome!! you should be able to find all the information you need here! DPC actually has 3 WCs so working with any one of them will be fine i'm sure! you will get assigned one specifically closer to your date that you will work with from then on out. if there is anything else you need after you get toya's emails, let us know and we'll help you out! also, the bordeoux terrace is probably the most popular reception site.. the 3 main ones are outdoors and i've never heard of anyone renting a dance floor separately. i'm thinking this is used mostly by people who do a reception on the beach?

I have heard that the reception sites are better at DPC too, so that is always a plus. Alot of brides on here are talking about using the indoor terrace for the reception, I wonder if it is enough space for a dance floor and DJ or if can only accommodate the dinner tables.

from what deyanira tells me its based on the number of guest you have
Based on using round tables with 10 people seated at each:
El Patio Terrace: 50 people
Himitsu Terrace: 80 people
Bordeaux Terrace: 40 people
Beach: Unlimited
Banquet rooms: 70 people each
Ballroom: 220 people

I think there is space for a DJ and dancing based on these numbers as well, and based on all the wedding reception pics I've seen.

Erin, I thought the same thing I was like did I miss somthing or did they always offer these other options lol..... I wish the fireworks and the circus were so much I would love to add that to my reception. I may do the fire show if I have some extra money :)

Hey Tara,

Dress shopping was not fun for me, I did purchase my dress, but the process was just not fun, I went to soo many bridal shop and what I thought would look right on me just didn't thus began my long adventure of finding the right gown, so it took me weeks to find the right dress, either the dress just didn't look right on me or when I did find one I really liked it was $3-4,000 ( not paying that much) sooo I started to actually hate this process until I finally found the dress I really really like and it was on sale, but of course I was soo indecisive that I left the dress in the store thinking hmm maybe I'm not sure about the dress anymore. so another week or so went by and I still didn't find anything I liked so I went back to the store that had my dress tried it on again and it hit me this is my dress and since it was still there it was sign that this was suppose to be my dress :) and now I'm just glad that part is over and I love my dress lol....

Autumn1 - No problem :)

Tara - I already have my dress like Nat. I'm really fast with the whole planning process though, because I wont have the time to do this all when it's closer to the wedding. Here is a picture of me in my dress (sorry about the crappy Iphone picture). It's also not done up at the back so that's why it looks funny around the top and my tummy. wink.gif

I looked at the pic and was like "woah ash has blonde hair!" haha

Hey Ladies,

Just an FYI from an email I sent to a woman from tripadvisor about DPC: She just got back from there for her daughter's wedding, so I asked her a couple of questions..here's her response:

Hi

We did the disco after dinner - the wedding party celebrated till after 4:00 a.m.!! We had the free package and added on the dinner & extra champagne - there were 27 of us, and there is only enough champagne for 10. Same with the cake...however, they served it to everyone and we were not charged extra. We had the gold dinner - the food choices at that level were more appealing to us than what the platinum level offerred. The reception was on the Himitsu terrace - it was beautiful - they had a private bar set up (no charge), and wait staff poured wine throughout the entire meal (no charge). They also had beautiful cocktails waiting for us when we arrived on the terrace! (nice touch!)

They had the ceremony on the beach ($300 surcharge), and the ENTIRE bill came to U.S. $1264!!!! Totally a great deal!

Enjoy your wedding!!! My daughter had the exact wedding she had always pictured!

NOt sure if this will help anyone, but just some more ideas for those (like me) trying to keep costs down.

I haven't had that problem, she has been getting back to me with a day or 2 but I've only sent 2 emails in the last month I think.
