Msvasq I'm setting that Oct 1 date in stone I'm going 2 try not 2 think about it until then. We'll see what happens I'm getting the bags and travel mugs from discountmug.com the t-shits I did a mock up on customink.com but will be making them with iron on letters. Our date will be on the front left corner with Punta Cana across the top back and a number covering the rest of the back like a football jersey. I think the website for the towels is towels4less.com but I'll double check and let you know. Skyy

I am totally pushing for guests to book wiht our TA because we DO get comp nights plus a bunch of other free stuff the more rooms in our group block! The way I approach it is that althoiugh they could book on their own, there are no guarantees that it will be the same price, or cheaper and then they have to worry about the added headache of taxes, gratuities and round trip transfers to the resort and back to the airport, seems like the cost would be a BIG motivating factor for people

oh! and question, do you get comp room nights with your TA?? b/c i've really pushed for ppl to book with the TA since we get free nights per a # of rooms books

If these ppl that have told me, and who knows who else book after I order what should I do? The items I’m ordering are: the bags, travel mugs, t-shirts, beach towels, (all personalized with Punta Cana and our date) suntan lotion and a camera.(I wanted 2 get items they could keep using after the trip) I can’t just go back and order 4 or 5 more that would cost 2 much. We get deals because we’re ordering in bulk. I don’t want 2 just order a whole bunch of extra because who’s 2 say they will really book anyway. We have 43ppl booked with the travel agent so I was going 2 order 50 of everything. What do I do if more than 50 book?????????

Hi everyone!

I don't know if any of you have been on Trip Advisor lately, but I just saw that within the last two weeks there have been quite a few reports of DPC rooms getting broken into (sometimes through balcony doors) and guests have had their bags gone through and things stolen. One guy said that his phone rang repeatedly every 20 min but would hang up when he answered. When he came back from dinner he saw his room was rummaged through and things were stolen. Management did not seem concerned when the guests complained either. Just wanted to make you all aware, pass this on to your guests too- and always remember to use the safe!! Hopefully this person(s) who is doing this will get caught soon.

My TA just called me yesterday to tell me 2 more people have booked for our trip.  Im getting married next month!!!  I waited till April/June to order anything bc of this reason!  On the same note...I invited all my family and friends.  I figured if they wanted to take there vacation in Oct and come to our wedding they could!  We have a good mix of people coming from High School friends to co workers to friends of the family!!!  : ) I dont mind!  It their vacation too!!! I know its hard when your budgeting and trying to get the ball rolling.  I would wait!  Unless you know these people are who are TRULY coming.  You will get alot of people say...."Of course we are going!!" and one month down the road....NOTHING!  It all on you at the end of the day.  I hope this helps!

 

@MSVASQ Im going to get my hair down twice.  One test run then the real thing!   As for make up.  Im going to buy all of my make up here.  Im going to have them teach me how to do it.  Then I figured I would check it out first when I get down there.  If they do a good job ill ask if they can add me...I know there is some type of cancel fee or something..IDK If they do my make up awesome if not....Im not to worried about it.  At this point...All I care about it making sure my hair look great! 

 

I also emailed the WC and I asked for 7 tables for my 40 guest.  NO CAN DO!  She said its too small for 7 tables with 6 people to a table.  I could do 4 tables with 8 people to a table with a head table for us and our bridal party   I hope its not too cramped.  At this point I have to go with the flow!

I have no clue Skyy....Its kind of irratating.  Our discount for the rooms ended Sept 4th.  Im hoping this is the end of the bookings.  Who knows...I still have a few people that say "we are still thinking about it"  REALLY IM GETTING MARRIED IN 35 DAYS!!!  Think about if you can get time off work for a week???  I have no clue.  Its really driving me crazy!!! I dont sleep any more...I for get to eat!  Today I forgot to pack a Bra in my gym bag.  So Yes ladies thats right I am wearing my sports bra under my shirt that I wore for working out!!!  With my wedding being so close and all the days off I have taken for my wedding I had to come to work instead of driving back home for my bra!  YES im pretty sure I smell....AND guess what....I DONT EVEN CARE! Bc im losing my mind!!!!!!! HAHAHAHA

 

So please stick to your RSVP date!!!  You dont want to be a smelly mess like me 35 days out!!! : ) Just fair warring!  You may have people booking a month before.

OMG thanks for the head up!!!  Ill be sure to let all my guest know!  I wrote a Travelers tip letter to all my guest I included in bold letter put all valuables in safe.  I will be one one ANGRY MEXICAN if they steal anything from me!  Im borderline crazy now.  I might blow up the place! ; )

I already dream about things going wrong. One night I had a dream my Aunt walked me down the aisle with a black turtle neck on…. SMH I can’t even imagine how bad I’ll be a month out.

 

Ppl  r crazy, they can try booking that close 2 my date if they want 2 they will have a DIXIE CUP and a WASH CLOTH in their BROWN PAPER OOT BAG LMBO.  I’m ordering chair backs and they won’t have one of those or anything else (they cost 2 much for me 2 order any extra)     

 

Maybe you can keep a bag of personal items at work just in case. We can’t have your co-workers calling you the stinky bride…..LMBO. When I'm closer and going crazy I think I'll  stop pass my mothers house b 4 I head 2 work so she can look me over no telling what I'll b looking like..... lol....
