I wouldn't invest all of my energies on reviews from one site. People tend to be over critical and will post reviews on travel sites when they had a bad experience more than when they have a good experience. We tend to dwell on things as humans. And forgt about the joyous things when people are looking for a review. Shame really. i am personally looking forward to the trip - I mean what can really go wrong? Friends and family, 2 ppl in love, the beach sun and sand. Put me anywhere - Its gonna be great no matter where we are!

I haven't had too much exposure to Lisette but she did get back to me fairly quickly after I had a little freak out about the deposit that all of a sudden came about for reserving your wedding date. She was very reassuring and I was happy with my reply.

As for Tripadvisor, I wouldn't worry about it because almost all of the Dream PC brides that give a review say they had an amazing time. I can't think of anyone more credible than a fellow BDW forum bride.

i have been working with maria at dreams, and i have to say i am slightly frsutrated...i have asked numerous questions, and generally get 1 sentence responses back. I don't know what to do about a reception bc i have approx 45 guests, so there are too many to be able to eat in one of the restaurants, but i really don't want to spend the extra money for a private reception bc we are throwing a large AHR...any suggestions or ideas for a way we can still all get together aftter the wedding, but not have to pay thousands for the private reception?

also, when did you get notification that you had to put a deposit for you wedding date? i booked our wedding date months ago, and when they confirmed i asked if i needed to put a deposit down for that date, and they told me no...now i am nervous that i am not confirmed!

When I wrote the wedding coordinators because I was in the same boat, they replied saying that if you had booked your date before they change their policy about the deposit, you would not need to worry about. Only those that booked after they started asking for deposits.

It doesn't hurt firing off an email to them anyways, just to be sure.

Ive been working with Maria also and it is frustrating bc she hadly answers any of my questions and when she does answer them her answers are so vague. I booked at Dreams early on in the year when no deposit was required...yet when I asked her to confirm my date she send me a confirmation stating a deposit was required. I asked her about it, stating that I booked a while back and disregarded that by saying the deposit is just to hold my date and its due a month before the wedding (that doesnt make sense, wouldn't they want the deposits early on to hold the date not a month before??)...then I asked her if the $100 would apply to any extras I added, again she totally did not answer my question. I think there is a huge language barrier where she doesnt understand what I'm asking her. Frustrating!

Hello Ladies!

I am considering Dreams PC for our wedding and don't have a whole lot of info about anything yet. We were thinking Dreams Tulum but are having second thoughts and are still undecided! Any info anyone has would be greatly appreciated, I have a thousand questions! Deposits required now?

Hi Ladies,

How is everyone's plans going with the WC at Dreams? I am very stressed with the response time from them.

I am planning on visiting the resort in exactly 30 days. I wanted to visit the resort before I make my final decision in booking my wedding with them. From the way things are going it looks like I am not going to! I sent several emails asking to set up an appointment or time when we can meet during my stay next month. I have yet to receive a response. I know I have time but all the past experiences I have had with them is not positive. It is very difficult to receive a response. I am almost to the point of changing the resort for my wedding.

Does anyone have any suggestions of another resort?

I am not sure you will be able to meet with them until you actually do book a wedding. My WC at home has emailed them with some requests but they responded that they will be in touch about one month prior to the wedding to get all of our details. In our experience, emails can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks to get a response. But I do know that they can be handling about 3 weddings a day and are very busy there. I hope you can get your meeting while you are there, talk to the manager, I think I heard her name is Eileen and see if she can help you.
