They have been taking longer than usual because this is their busy season (I think), and also one of the WC's there, Yessica (My coordinator) went on maternity leave, so they are directing all of her emails to other coordinators. If you really can't wait, you can try calling them.

MsClarke724: is the $1900 the book price or the group rate? My book rate was about $2300 from Calgary (that was almost a year ago when I frist went to the TA). He put in an inquiry with the tour provider (Air Canada Vacations) and the Group Dept came back with  a price of about $1400.  Confirm with your TA ---and  for back up, I would call Apple group bookings myself...another option might be to switch tour companies?? Good luck.

OH No! What about maybe changing the date, maybe January is peak season..... could you check other dates? I also wouldn't rely on the prices"dropping".

@Lasallebabe the prices were the booking price - group price was about the same.  My travel agent works specifically with Apple.  I've even had a few other travel agents see what they could find and no luck.

 

@ska2m  January is what works best for my fiance's job and our parents - we've already sent out save the dates so I'd like to keep it

@MsClarke - my aunt tried to find a group rate with belair travel and found an amazing price that no other company could match...I think it was something like $1170 (with a group of 11 couples). This rate was quoted for November 23rd 2011 departure from Toronto (YYZ). I'm not sure where you're flying out from but check their prices, good luck!

MsClarke - I am also having my wedding at Dreams in Jan 2012 (Jan 20th) and we received a quote from our travel agent through Sunwing (leaving from Toronto) for approx $1400 per person which isn't too bad for January since it is still considered peak season.

I am having my wedding at Dreams Palm Beach in October 2011. Through my travel agent I was able to get a group rate of

3 nights rates    $267.00 per person

4 nights rates  $346.00 per person

 5 nights rates  $425.00 per person

 plus airfare!!

Hi Princesskaos..haha i love the name...My name is Liz and this is my first post here. I am getting married at Dreams Punta Cana also ...we are there from Jan 12-19th and we get married on the 16th at the Gazebo a symbolic ceremony...we then leave for our honeymoon on the 19th -26th for the Majestic Elegance perfered club ocean view suite...its going to be a long long summer and winter waiting for this wedding..lol...but something we have in common to wait for..i hope we can keep each other posted on how things are going and help each other out with our plalns...this is a great site..i am greatful for all help i can get xoxoxo
