I think the thing that sucks most about it raining is you don't get the choice of what happens next.  The wedding coordinator makes the call for you, they have a ballroom at the resort and that wasn't even offered to us.  I guess whoever is closer to the ballroom on that day gets it maybe.

Ya we tied the ribbon on the same color lantern minus the white which had the yellow ribbon.

So,I received back my group rate (wedding April 27th 2012) and they didn't offer me any kind of deal.The group rate is the same as what there website says it would be for anyone.Did anyone else experience this?...The travel agent says maybe because it's so far in advance

My wedding is set for April 14,2012... I've been working with a travel agent at Liberty Travel in NJ. The group rate that I got was $2330 for 2 people for 5 nights flying out of Newark Liberty. I don't know what rate was given to you, but I thought the one that we got was pretty good!

They told me it would be 673 per person for 4 nights.So that would be 1346 in total just for 4 nights but no airfare.They told me airfare wasn't available yet.I should try Liberty as well.Are you able to get the deal of book 5 rooms get the 6th free?

You should def contact Liberty Travel... Flights won't be available until May or June, but the price that they will give you will already include the flight. The way my travel agent told me regarding the free room, is that we are intitled to it, but it won't be offered till everyone pays for the trip in full. They have to do it that ways since many people end up backing out. If you need my agents number, I'll be happy to give it to you!

Hello Ladies (and Gentlemen if there are any!)

 

We just got our confirmation through for the 14th Feb 2012 - still waiting for a time as we want a legal ceremony.  We were hoping to do la Barcaza for the reception but right now it looks as though we'll have more than 50 guests so no can do

 

Is there anyone else on the forum getting married there that week?

I have been speaking with several travel agents since my wedding is in January of 2012.  Flight schedules are not available yet, so they can only estimate what a price might be.  As far as the hotel prices, they are extremely high right now.  I have also been told that they will stay high until approximately 6-8 months before time of travel.  Right now, I am just waiting.........
