Dreams Punta Cana Brides

Hi Soccergurl,

I am so glad your wedding came out amazing despite the previous problems you mentioned. Dreams definately sounds like they have a definate method to the madness.

I, too, am wondering about the above questions..

Hello ladies, Congrats to all the recent brides and all the upcoming brides to be. I must say I feel so great now knowing that all of you had wonderful weddings and that everything will work out. I felt so lost until I found this forum. Thanks to some of the ladies that have helped and answered some of my many questions, its really hard planning a wedding sooooo far away and not being able to see anything. I am awaiting Deyanira to confirm my date **keeping my fingers crossed** I don't want to lose my date.

All the pics look gorgeous. I am actually getting excited that finally I can stop looking at 50 million resorts and wedding packages lol.... I think Dreams PC is going to turn out perfect.

just wanted to say thx for all the help and info you all provide. I will contribute any information I recieve as well

soccergurl3 - i have a question regarding the cost of your wedding at dreams if you don't mind. I was wondering, when you were given the bill (presumably at the end of your stay there) did they add tax and service fee onto the price's they quote for things on their website?

I'm trying to budget for the worst possible scenario but i'm finding it really hard to know what things will actually cost when we get there.

Any help appreciated!!

Thanks, Jocy

Hi Jocy, not trying to jump in here but I can tell you what my experience was from the bill. Just like the website says there is a tax added onto the food. I had calculated everything out myself prior to receiving the bill just to make sure they didn't sneak anything else in there. My bill and theirs matched exactly. The tax on the food was the only additional charge we received.

ACH2009 - Thank you so much!!

This is exactly the information i was hoping for!! I have this huge fear that somehow those prices creep up and we don't have enough!!

Now i can relax, :o) (and get working on my spreadsheet!)

So they don't tax the wedding packages or the other add-ons (i.e. decorations, photography, music, etc)?

What about service charges of 10% that they add to the food packages? Do they not add that to other areas as well?

Well when I asked her if we could have a rehearsal she said it was up to us. We didn't end up having one and I never saw anyone else have one either. Just be sure to ask your WC any questions you might have when you meet with her. Deyanira just told us where to be and at what time. Right before the ceremony she came to my room to drop off our flowers and then we gave her the ipod with the music we wanted to have played before and after the ceremony. That was about it!

And the food tax was the only additional charge they had. Nothing else was taxed. Like I said, I was able to calculate my exact bill before receiving it. I was pretty happy when I saw that!
