Hello Dreams Punta Cana Brides!!

I just got back on Sunday and my wedding was amazing! I'll post pics soon too with a review... boy it will be long! There were some things I loves and others I was not too impressed with. Unfortunately for us, the only time it rained all week long was at our reception dinner, but it was clear for the ceremony. It was no big deal, we just had them move all of our linens and centrepieces downstairs and it worked out great. I'll post soon! Just wanted to say that Im back and MARRIED!!!

I guess I will have to look into the photog thing. Have you heard anything good from any photog in particular in DR?

our ceremony is at 4.. we didn't need a judge since we are doing a symbolic ceremony and bringing in our own officiant. also, we're doing a beach front ceremony.. are you doing the gazebo?

a lot of people are happy with photo souvenir down there, they do some very pretty work. i had an experience similar to tara's too... at a bridal show some local photographers offered to do the wedding for basically just travel fees in order to build their resume. i opted to go with someone else just because i loved her and her work too much not to, but that is always an option.

Also, if you are planning on bringing travellers cheques with you, they charge a fee of approx $2.25 per transaction but that is to convert into Dominican Pesos. If you want your US travellers cheques cashed into US dollars they take 15% of the travellers cheques!! My sister got screwed over for alot of money from this wrong information given from the hotel. I don't want anyone else to get screwed over. Please tell your guests so no one is surprised!!

ndinn.. just found out there are actually the full THREE weddings on the 28th. feels good to re-confirm my date and time esp. since miguelina was the original WC who responded to me and now she's gone!

Thanks ladies! I really have my fingers and toes all crossed that nothing cancels our flights this time around! Lol! I'll be sure to give you all a low-down after we get back...which isn't until August 5th.

Has anyone used the resort photographer for a trash the dress session??
