I can't remember who asked which question but I'll just throw some answers out there!!

Yes we had to pay for the reception to be extended an extra hour. $10 per person.

Most of the beer comes in either a glass if you are in a restaurant or the lobby bar or plastic cups if your anywhere else. (poolside etc) And they do serve beer in bottles in some bars too.

We gave our beer koozies and not that many people used them there but they all loved them and said they'd use them at home, :o) We saw a few people using travel mugs but really my opinion on that is it becomes a pain to carry around with you and the cups really are big enough. IMO.

Forgot to mention tipping!

So i had pre-made envelopes to tip the DJ and the Caribbean Trio and i gave them to my Dad and he made sure they got the tips during the reception. My Dad also decided to tip the wait staff.

That was all we had intended on tipping but we ended up tipping Carolina since she basically pulled the whole thing together and the photographer because i just adored him!

Tips weren't crazy between $50-$100.

Also i meant to say in my review there were absolutely no "surprises" in our bill. It actually came out less than I'd calculated as i overestimated how much champagne we would need. Hence the happy tipping!!

We are staying at the resort from April21 -25, so hopefully we will get to meet! Our wedding is Friday at 4pm as well and I'm planning on doing a welcome event / cocktail party the night before. I really like the bonfire idea! I'm going to look into that as well and hopefully it wont be to hot since it will be night time. So far I hvae 30 booked but I'm thinking we will have a potential of 45 and I'm trying to decide on the terrace for the reception bordeaux or himitzu... thoughts??

just emailed you girls the file!

thanks for the info about tipping jocy.. i've been wondering about that. since our reception is not at the resort i'm not sure what to do about tipping deyanira. that'll probably be a game-time decision.

i also am using pastor york though, and he charges $300, so i have a hard time justifying tipping him for doing a 15 min. ceremony for that price! is anyone else using pastor york and planning on tipping?

i hope everyone that was/is snowed in is doing okay! the weather here just started to let up, thank goodness. although i think i got a pretty sweet upper-body workout from shovelling every 4 hours!

i attached our information book for you all to see too. it is really micro-managing at its finest!! several of our guests have never had an experience like this before, and i didn't want anyone to have an excuse for not knowing something or forgetting something! the books got printed last week and were the final piece to our OOT bags!
Erin thats is great omg I luv it, I will be copying this idea lol....... :)
