its not a big deal that they did, cause it will just go towards whatever small extras we add. I emailed Deyanira to ask, but is anyone who is getting married on the beach know about the use of the sound system for your processional/recessional music?

We are bringing an ipod and docking station.. I think you need to rent speakers (for $110).. not sure really how it all works out... I am getting tired of worrying about so many things... it really is exhausting. We still haven't done our music..

The speakers and a CD player are included if you have your ceremony on the beach!! I think it's only $110 if you want to rent the speakers for you ipod at a reception location or something like that.

 

But i can confirm that when i get back!!

We're struggling to come up with an original and not super duper cheesy dong from FI and his Mum to dance to. Does anyone have any suggestions?

the sound system is included for the ceremony... just extra to rent it for your reception. you'll get the speakers, an ipod hookup, a microphone, etc. i had to verify all of this since the best man is playing guitar and we need people to be able to hear him!

 

tam, it seems like we all just reach a point where the little things don't matter anymore! i said for the first time the other day that i can't wait for all of the "thinking" to be over with! i've enjoyed planning, but trying to remember all of the little details and things like that is driving me slowly mad! i just want a vacation and our wedding!

Deyanira said that the sound sytem is included for the ceremony but you have to rent it for the reception.

Ou thanks Toya!!! Jocy definitely double check for us when you go down, because I think we could save $250 for the trio if we can use our own music for the ceremony!

 

Let us know how long you get to use it for free... i.e. Can it be used during the champagne toast as well?

Hi all ~ I haven't been on the forum for a while but as my date draws closer I have been lurking more and more. I also got charged right away for my deposit and then they sent me an official confirmation of the date and time for or ceremony.

 

I was wondering if anyone had any information on the earthquake they had in Hati and how it has affected the DR. We are just about 60 days out and I am hoping this is just a fluke thing that won't cause any problems.

 

I am trying not to panic and am just curious if anyone else had heard anything?

I am a little worried, as we leave in 4 days... I just watched on CNN that it happened in an area in Haiti that is the opposite from where PC is.... and they just cancelled the tsunami warning thankfully.... this totally adds to my stress/worry.

 

Gotta go out and buy a new strapless bra now... maybe a bottle of wine or two....
