soon2bmrsc- I agree with ebredhawk... reading the reviews will only make you paranoid! Negative people can find something bad about ANYTHING, and unfortunately those are the people that go on to write reviews on sites like trip advisor! DPC is a resort that every travel agent (when I mentioned it) got excited about, one of them being a wedding specialist! So I think we are all in good hands... my Pollyanna post of the day! :) haha

I just received the credit card authorization form and they want it w/a color photo copy of my card and ID scanned and sent back via e-mail. Not sure if this is how everyone is doing it...huh.gif Quick question...for those of you doing a private event, have you gotten answers on cost for if you want it to last longer than 3 hours? I have heard 10% of the total dinner cost per hour and $10 per person per extra hour.

Hi ladies!

When we booked (back in June) we were told that they used to do a deposit via credit card, but something had happened and the government had changed their regulations, so we didn't need a deposit unless that changed. I've had no further information about needing one, so I guess I better write Sharron to confirm!

Autumn 1, I'm not sure about the cost for extended reception, but I'm definitely curious about the answer, if you could send it along if you find out! All I know is that the reception has to be over at 11 pm, and since we're not getting married until 5 pm, we could only really do about 6:30-11 pm or so...

Hope everyone's doing well, we are picking up our boarding pass invitations today and sending this week!!!!!!! EEEEEEE!!!! :0D

Tara

Ok thanks! I sent my faxed request for my date on August 24th, and was told by Deyanira on Friday that they were waiting for the judge to confirm... so I guess that's where I'm at with that!

Have any of you already let your w/c know that you want to do a reception? We are planning to do the dinner, should we be letting her know now?
