I was at Gran Bahia this past April and the rooms are nice as was the pool but the beach was terrible - very hard packed right out into the ocean. If you decide on that resort tell all of your guests to bring water shoes or there feet will get tender very fast! Also be careful walking down the marble stairs from the lobby to the pool- the design is georgeous but when it gets damp it is horribly slippery- a bad accident waiting to happen!

 

I also wasn't very impressed with the service- however it was just opened and probably still working out the kinks but my room mate had twisted her ankle the day before. It was about 10-15 minutes before the pool bar was to open and she went up for some ice, explained why she needed it and they refused to give her any telling her to come back when they opened! It wasn't that it wasn't there yet- they just refused to give it to her!

 

Needless to say I haven't sent any clients there....
